Air conditioning

Air conditioner was not very cool, seemed to be not working. They had new units in lobby so i think they were in the process of replacing some. Had an odd old smell in room. Overall clean and comfortable.

Floor boards creak like they are going to cave in. No maid service, except for single nights. No view of the lake from the rooms. Just a big asphalt parking lot. No vending machine, no laundry, weak coffee.

Great price for this area. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Small property but right on the lake and a very nice restaurant across the parking lot. No free breakfast but most hotel breakfasts are not that good and they recommended we try a nearby restaurant which I think was called Time Out. It was very good and priced right.

The Washburn Inn had very reasonable rates for this time of year. The room we stayed in was clean. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating. It has very nice views of the bay and Marina. Very nice restaurant/supper club right next door. They have shown signs of updating rooms. It's a process, that they will complete in time. People need to be less critical. The ++ out weigh the -- When we return to that area I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again!

Nice views.

The location is great- it's right on the water- restaurants and stores are close. The bed and shower were nice- good pillows too. It's an older hotel, the AC takes awhile to cool off but its not usually hot here so shouldn't be an issue. They gave us a fan when we asked. The customer service was excellent the 3 days we were here. Breakfast isn't included but there is a great coffee shop in town with great breakfast!

Lovely location by a small marina and serene water front. Very calm and serene place for quiet evenings. Enjoy the morning hue on clear sunny days. Friendly and pleasant staff.

Nice place to stay, but the lack of elevator was a problem. I requested a ground floor through Travelocity and then requested it directly from the establishment specifically for our elderly boxer who has arthritis. We were very disappointed to find that we had a second floor room. It made things more difficult but we were able to make it work. Also the AC was woefully underwhelming. The room was good, clean and comfortable.

The location is nice. The view of Lake Superior is great. Didnt like the musty smell in the room, no ceiling fan. We tried to use the fan on air conditioning unit and had to stop as it had a really bad odor. Didnt like the rain dripping on the outdoor box outside window, kept me up overnight. Needs more amenities, a breakfast option would be nice. Better air circulation in the room. A working air conditioner.
