I feel lucky to have found this hotel. Check in was a breeze with a code - perfect as I arrived very late after a long drive. Parking was right out front and it’s a very well laid out hotel, all rooms I saw were ground floor so perfect for anyone with mobility issues or just tired from a long day and lugging bags inside. The room was clean and warm. The best find for me was the restaurant - cosy and warm, a wide menu, friendly and efficient staff .. a real pleasure with the gas fire place and large windows.

Our group stay at Black Gold every year for the Ridgy Didge trail festival. We wouldn’t stay - or even eat - anywhere else! We love it here, the staff, the restaurant, it’s all part of our annual weekend pilgrimage to this race and we wouldn’t change a thing

Super easy check in once you know what to do. The room I had was very comfortable and the shower pressure perfect. One small consideration would be to have slightly better lighting for older eyes in the bathroom and at the key code.
