"Great Hotel in the heart of Bologna"
The Hotel is excellent. The facilities are beautiful. The staff is very accommodating. The rooms that I stayed in are very comfortable. Breakfast is very good and the breakfast staff is very professional and fast. The location is the best – just in the heart of the Bologna. The only note is the restaurant deserved better service. We went for dinner twice to Caracci restaurant. The service was not good. We were waiting for long time for service. The pasta came consistently cold both times. First time, last year, we sent it back. This time we didn’t bother. Then we went to the bar area for lunch which was outright disaster –the waiter didn’t write down the order. It came all wrong. We specifically asked for fast service as were late – we were waiting for 45 min for simple food and then it came all wrong we had to eat it fast in 7-10 min and leave.

"Very nice and centrally located."
Met my needs in being very close to train station and city center. Very nice and clean. Quiet room (inside window) for my relaxing naps as I went to rest and not be a tourist. Nice heavy windows to block out the sunlight. Just an overall good experience.

Zanhotel Tre Vecchi

"Ideal city centre location."
My wife and I spent three nights at the Zanhotel Tre Vecchi, and found it an excellent location. We were greeted warmly by all staff over our visit, who were unfailingly helpful and a source of excellent, accurate information about local transport, city attractions and good restaurants - of which there are many. We acted on several of their eating recommendations and were not disappointed. Our front of hotel room was set back from the main street and relatively spacious, and had excellent en suite shower facilities. The king size bed was very comfortable. There was a little traffic noise with the windows closed, but nothing too obtrusive. Bedding was changed every day, as were the large bath towels.

Hotel Cavour

Via Goito 4, Bologna - Map
"Close & Clean but lacking"
This hotel is very close to all the restaurants, shops and main square in Bologna. The superior room we had was very nice and clean and on the second floor. Our friends had a standard room which are on the first floor and was small, dark and noisy. The breakfast is in a conservatory and lets the hotel down. The tables are not clean and there is only pastries, rolls, toast, wafer thin ham and wafer thin cheese. They do have the usual orange juice and coffee is made by the 1 waiter but it is no good if like me you don't eat carbohydrate. There was nothing hot or cooked. I could not have a boiled egg or omelette. They have no cooking facilities and it is machine coffee. There is a very small bar and you have to ask the receptionist to get you a drink so no-one bothers and there are only 2 seats anyway. Overall if you want a good room book superior, it is clean and convenient for the sights, but don't expect a good breakfast.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Via Indipendenza hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
