Hotel is mostly clean but they have some way to get a very good rating a lot of stuff still going on to get it in top shape but I think they will get it done
If you want to save money, this is a good bet. Well stocked, clean, somewhat renovated, and friendly, this hotel makes for a nice day in Yankton. As a matter of fact, we stayed here twice in two weeks’ time. They offer a small, hot breakfast and stay on top of stocking the coffee when the Stugis-bound bikers fill their travel mugs with it.

Not as described and NO refund!
When I booked from hotels.com, it said that adjoining rooms were available at Econolodge. I booked two rooms and made a note that we needed to have adjoining rooms to accommodate our family. When we got there, the hotel said they had no adjoining rooms in the building. They said they couldn't refund us our money because we booked through hotels.com and it was the websites problem. My husband called hotels.com and they said they had to approve the refund through the hotel. What?!! So neither place wanted to take responsibility for the false information on the website.
We ended up getting rooms at a different hotel and my husband went back to talk to the manager the next day. He seemed cooperative and said he would give us a refund but it still had to be done through hotels.com. We called hotels.com again and they said "they didn't guarantee any special requests" and since I didn't spend the extra money to get the refund guarantee, the hotel had to approve the refund and said the hotel had denied it.
So both Econolodge and hotels.com gave us the runaround and wasted our money because of misleading info on the website. Don't was your time or money with Econolodge or hotels.com!
Furniture was taped together, dirty shower. Hot tub non working and very dirty. Slept on towels on bed. Hotel should not have a rating on 7. Dies not even deserve to be on Expedia. Asked for a different room after checking in and was told because booked through Expedia they could not change it. Would not cancel my reservation and refund my payment!
We stayed here again as the first time it was a much better experience, this time the hot tub was out of order and our rooms were in separate buildings.
There wasn’t a bar in the bathtub, shower. Need one for senior citizens and even people with disabilities. Also we got back to hotel at one o’clock and the door to the hotel was open and should have been locked .
DO NOT STAY HERE! I booked a room with 2 beds through Orbitz. When I got to my room it only had 1 bed with a pullout couch. When I went to the front desk to ask she said Orbitz sent it as a 1 bed (even though Orbitz assured me they sent it as a 2 bed request.) The hotel said they didn’t have another room to give me. So I went back to the room to see if the pullout would work. It was disgusting. I showed the gal at the front desk, and her response was, “It’s not so bad, you can put a sheet on it.” I asked for a refund. She was rude and said she couldn’t give me a refund because I needed to cancel with 24 hours notice. I said I would have cancelled had I known I wasn’t getting the room I reserved!! I did not stay here. I went back the next morning to talk to the manager. He told me he was talking to his supervisor to get me a full refund and to check back. When I called back a day later he told me they could only give me a refund for the second night because I didn’t give 24 hour cancel notice on the first night. I explained that I was going to stay there HAD THEY GIVEN ME THE ROOM I RESERVED!! This was a shady hotel. I do not recommend staying here.

We enjoyed our stay. Nice selection at breakfast. Quiet at night. Room was clean. The only issue was trying to get the card entry to let us in our room.
The staff was kinda rude didn’t really seem like they knew what was going on, The hot tub was down when we were there wasn’t no warning, The door to the outside does not lock so you can just walk in and same for the pool. The outdoor landscape is very uninviting and there was glass all over the parking lot which now I have glass in my foot because of that.
In the pool area, they don't check the chairs. I was a few days after surgery and looked for a chair to sit and relax, and it broke and shattered into pieces.
The staff wasn't even kind enough to ask if I was okay.
