Our stay at the Steveston Hotel was very comfortable, with everything we could ask for provided. While there was no ice machine, we were encouraged by a member of housekeeping to ask for ice at the attached liquor store, where ice was given happily. The TV was also out-of-date and low-resolution.
As other reviews indicate, the facilities are somewhat vintage and worn but the comfort and security provided was outstanding. One must understand that this is an historic building which comes with its own limitations. We stayed in the jacuzzi room for a bit of extra luxury; it was roomy and comfortable. Those booking should be aware that there is a full flight of stairs and no elevator due to the hotel's heritage status.
We had breakfast at the café, which was lovely, as well. The ambience of the historic fishing village surrounding the hotel is unmatched. I would recommend a stay here.
