Great historic hotel and location!

Great historic hotel! Staff was great at accomodating our requests and so friendly. Location can't be beat. We were on 6th floor with a great view too. We loved walking out and being right on the water and short walk to heaches and stanley park, sunset beach, ferry to granville island. We saw the quaint restaurant and bar but did not have time to try those out, though they looked great. We would stay again!

Beautiful heritage hotel. The rooms were large and comfortable and the location is great being across the street from the beach on English Bay, and in walking distance to many shops and restaurants. Will definitely stay there again!

The Sylvia has an amazing location close to restaurants, shopping, and Stanley Park. The parking was tight but it seemed safe. For the cost of the stay, I would have expected nicer service at the check-in desk and the fact that we only received one regular coffee in our room each day made no sense.

I am deaf and when I checked in she gave me key 409 then quickly changed it to 296 when she found out I had a service dog. Then kept calling my service dog my pet even after I showed her a government of Alberta service dog license. Then get to the room and the windows are wide open and anyone could climb in and attack me. The place is beyond filthy. I am reporting ten to human rights and better business bureau. I walked out and still got charged. DO NOT BOOK HERE. NOT SAFE. NO HOTEL SECURITY ANF IKD FASHION KEYS.

Lovely Hotel. Great location. Only problem no Air Conditioning and couldn't sleep as room too warm. Electric fan and windows open made little difference.

Everything was wonderful. Right next to the beach with amazing sunsets. Close to lots of great dining options. Hotel was super charming with a lot of interesting historic features and a staff that took very good care of my family.
