The room smelled like sewage possibly because it was in the basement, but other than this the room was immaculate and the shower was lovely. I wish the towel warmer worked. The staff were excellent, especilly Maria. She was very knowledgeable about Spain and Portugal since she used to be a flight attendant. We talked to her for a while.

Wonderful old grist mill. Wonderful grounds to walk on. Evening meal was easily 3-4 star Michelin rating. Breakfast buffet was excellent but the cook would also cook a breakfast to order. Then to top it off they drove us back to our drop off point. Wonderful respite for weary Camino travelers

Had the best experience with the family. There is a bbq at the property which the host was happy for us to use

Great location on edge of old town, just a few minutes to walk to Cathedral and old town. 20min walk from train station. Like everywhere in city, everything is generally up hill! Great communication before and during stay. View of cathedral from kitchen, patio and bedroom. Apartment great value, with a comfy lounge area to relax in the evenings (our key factor). Very clean, nice surprise towels and sheets were changed after 2 days. Didn’t get to use the patio area (as wet, cold time of year) but would have been nice to do so. Bedroom small, but with good wardrobe storage, comfy bed and pillows. Bathroom has a good shower, and clean, soft, large towels. Washer/Dryer were handy. Wasn’t too sure (also didn’t ask) about heating, an instruction sheet would be handy as were not sure if thermostat panel operated the radiators. Excellent cafe (Bar Caamaño) opposite for breakfast. A great choice.
