"Great Stay in Siena"
We stayed 2 nights at the Hotel Italia and had an great experience! The hotel is located close to the train station and approximately 1 km from the center of Siena. The hotel itself was well appointed and cared for and the staff was excellent. The room was very clean, quiet and well serviced by the daily room staff. The breakfast that came with our stay was fantastic! The only downside for us was the bed was on the hard side for our taste. Given this is a personal preference I would not let that sway me from staying at the hotel again.

Very nice and very convenient. The bus to Florence is literally right across the street and costs 7 euros which is nothing. It's a short walk to the piazza del compo and the duomo.

"AMAZING resort in the heart of Tuscany! "
The photos on Expedia don't do this place justice! It's like Pebble Beach, CordeValle and the movie Under the Tuscan Sun all wrapped into one. World Class Robert Trent Jones Golf Course, large lounging pool, big rooms, first class service and an incredible history. This hotel used to be a whole small village as early as the year 1100. Yes 1100. There is a small church and a well on the property that look like movie props. Rolling hills, Tuscan farm houses and a PGA-worthy golf course line the country side. Our room had a view that we laughed at every morning because it was so gorgeous. Each day of our 3 day trip we would marvel at the detail of things you don't notice at first. For example the restaurant waiters wear tuxedos...all day long. The glassware is real crystal, the wine list has bottles worth over $2,000, the breakfast, that is included, has "all the finest meats and cheeses". The staff set up a special table for our family of 5 everyday anticipating our arrival at breakfast. The bartender at the pool, also wearing a tuxedo, made special drinks for the kids. We stayed in the Suite because that was the only room that would take 2 adults and 2 kids, and we asked for an extra bed for our 3rd child and two people, one of which was wearing a French maid uniform, promptly brought us a roll away. Not cheap as they charge €60 (about $84) per night for the extra bed. But worth it. We would stay here for a month if we could. Pay the money, book it.

"Second stop of our Honeymoon."
This is a magical hotel - and I've stayed in hotels all over the world. The second stop of our Honeymoon and it simply could not have been any better. The hotel has bags of character, the rooms are wonderful and clean and well appointed, the terrace is a thing to behold and you may never leave to see the other sights (!) and the staff were excellent in every respect: friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and very efficient. Caution though: it is 3/4 of a mile walk (up hill) from the hotel to The Campo and you do need a taxi from the station - unless you are super fit! The parking is great - if a squeeze to get into the car park - and the hotel is very well located for day drives out into Tuscany. Would we go back? ABSOLUTELY!

"Quiet hotel close to town and train station "
I found the hotel to be very nice, clean and the view was absolutely beautiful. My only issue was some of the staff seemed like it was an imposition for us to be there. While others were very helpful.

"Very nice hotel within castle walls"
Selected the hotel online as the location was near a family wedding in a small town nearby. It was a great experience. It is very nice inside and the staff is very helpful. Buffet breakfast was included in the price and had some variety. Unfortunately, the hotel charges 20 Euro per person for access to the pool/spa.

Val di Merse is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Val di Merse, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Val di Merse hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
