What a lovely experience. Fairway Guesthouse was sublimely superb. As a location with an absolutely stunning view of the golf course overlooking the sea and Durban cityscapes, as well as the absolutely wonderful friendly service, that simply made us feel home away from home. The continental breakfasts were yummy and different - croissants with scrambled eggs and bacon and we even got home made flapjacks!!! Our suites were so luxurious and well appointed, with secure garden parking that our business trip felt like we were on holiday. Thank you so much and given the chance we will be back again.

The TV in the room did not work because of internet. Everyday was a struggle to get the TV to work. You can hear everything from the apartments in the next room. On the first day I asked to checkout later at 2pm they said I need to pay for a full day but I can check out latest at noon. The receptionist did not say I needed to pay extra for this. So on the day of check out they stopped the card for the room so I couldn't go back inside after 10am but I asked to check out at Noon. At 10:30am the front desk called the room said I need to come down now to pay R300 for late checkout. I told the Receptionist I was not told this but I have left R300 for incidentals so I will pay the R50 when I leave the room. There's no privacy

I found it funny that this Bayside is called Bayside Suites when some of the other bayside Hotels are much nicer inside. They must work on this. My room has a hole in the ceiling. They must fix.

A really good stay over all. Good amenities and facilities. Restaurant was slow and staff not always up to standard. But we will stay there again..

Advertised pictures look more neat than the actual place. Cupboards had no shelves but only hanger rails. Bathroom basin slightly blocked (water slowly drained). No PARKING at Facility! Used nearby dodgy parking facility charged per day and night! Hotel cleaners not trusted, watch chargers got stolen. Spoiled my running experience during comrades with low charged running watch. Security manager informed and didn’t help, not even to view camera footage. I doubt the cameras even works. Hotel location not ideal, busy drinking joints next to hotel will noise throughout the night. Definite no no for me👎
