The hotel was clearly mostly empty, but they put us in a room right next to other guests. Guests in a nearby room proceeded to have a profanity-laden argument at 2:00 AM; to our surprise this did not wake up our children but detracted from the atmosphere for my wife and me.

Room was not very clean. You could not walk from the shower to the bed without your feet turning black. There was bugs crawling on the bathroom floor. We could not get the tv to turn on. Because this was right off of the highway, there was alot of road noise at all hours of the day and night.

Good value and great location. They had nice toiletries, decent breakfast, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Easy walk to downtown, the mercado/good restaurants, and like half a block to the streetcar. Being by the fwy (like many other hotels) it was a bit noisy and some of the guests were loud overnight but all and all i was happy with the stay and would come back.

There was a wall made of concrete lattice crumbling down over the stairway area. Even though it had a Caution yellow plastic band on it, this was nor really contained. The injure risk of more parts coming off was there.
