Beautiful old lodge and a nice place to stay for one night. The surroundings are lovely, and we enjoyed our stay. One suggestion would be to make sure the bathroom curtains are cleaned, as they could use some attention.

Small motel in central Fortuna. Some long term residents. We had very noisy neighbors. It is a clean property, easy to find.

The room was ok but the table and furniture were sticky. The bed was clean and confortable. The location was convenient and fairly quiet. However, we experienced a power outage during our stay, and the front desk staff was not particularly welcoming or friendly.

This place felt above and beyond expectations for an overnight at a motel. The rooms were very clean and comfortable and that staff was kind and very helpful with anything we needed.

The overall cleanliness was ok, but not great. Dirt in corners, spiders, and things hanging from the ceiling tiles. The locking on one of the sliding doors was broken and took some work to secure the door. The outside doors (bottom floor were all unlocked when we entered the room and it was a little unnerving. The staff was kind and friendly to us. Breakfast was the barest minimum but was appreciated. The real issue for us was the overpowering smell of marijuana. The smells were so bad one night that we couldn't escape it, and had to sleep with blankets over our heads. We would not stay at this location again.

The hotel was ok. It was cool learning about the history of the hotel as it was once a very big deal. Multiple presidents have stayed here along with other celebrities from prior decades. The bathrooms are very small and there is not much counter space. My wife didn't like the bathroom mirror. They do offer a small breakfast of pastries, cereal and coffee/tea in the morning. There are a handful of parking spots next to the hotel and a large gated lot across the street, which is an easy walk.
