Highly recommend anyone visiting Traverse City stay here. Small and quaint hotel, friendly staff, beautiful location, and very clean and sleek rooms. We stayed here both on our way to Mackinac Island and on the way home. We’ll be back for sure.

This hotel is fairly new so the rooms are in great condition. Ours was very spacious and we especially enjoyed the private balcony overlooking the water. The rooftop lounge was also very nice with music on the night we were there. The restaurant, Blush, had good food, but the service was a bit spotty, one entre must have been forgotten so had to wait a long time for it to arrive. Also, the indoor seating option is tiny and very loud when all tables are occupied.

It's a really lovely hotel. Staff and amenities are great. Beautiful view of lake Michigan and nice beach area with chairs and fire table. Shower head could use improvement or water pressure. Minor detail though.

Can’t go wrong!

Very nice, 3 yr old boutique Inn! Comfortable beds , spacious clan bathrooms with a deep soaking tub and shower! The rooms have minimal storage for clothing. About 4ft to hang shirts with a shelf underneath. The hotel offers specialty coffees, tea and hot chocolate self serve. The also provided a nightly sweet treat. The views of the Traverse Bay are fantastic. IMO, this made up for the lack of storage space. The housekeeping staff did an excellent job cleaning the rooms and balcony. They also machine rake the sand and wipe down the patio cushions daily. daily. The front desk personnel are friendly and efficient!

The hotel is nice, clean, the beach access was awesome and never too busy. The rooftop restaurant is nice, however it doesn’t open until 9am so plan accordingly. Turndown service every day, which we appreciated very much. Overall we enjoyed our stay, and I would recommend the Alexandra for anyone looking for a nice, clean hotel with private beach access in TC.

Charming boutique hotel. Nice little rooftop restaurant. Terrific views of the east bay, and nice sunsets. I love the 24 hour coffee! Great for couples.

Really cute lplace on East Grand Traverse Bay with a clean, private sandy beach and a beachy cottagecore theme. Rooms are fresh, well-kept and modern (soaking tub is a nice touch). Balcony provides a sheltered location to view sunsets and the Bay. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Took one star off for lack of an in-room safe and a pull-out clothesline (either over the tub or out on the balcony) - both essential for a beachfront property, imo.

Beautiful property and we had a king corner room with two windows for seeing the waterfront. Rooftop is a great way to wrap up your day. Drinks were a highlight at sunset while the food was just ok (pepperoni flat bread). We did end up on the fourth floor below the kitchen for the rooftop. That got loud about 8 AM and 9 PM with staff setting up breakfast and cleaning up at night. A little annoying. Bed had an interesting feature - a night light around the perimeter. Very cool to prevent toe accidents at night. Breakfast was not included and parking is tight so be sure to get your spot early.

Good but not Exceptional

While this place is good, it is definitely not exceptional. The corner room is small, and it does not have a balcony. Forgot my shaving razor and they did not offer a complementary razor. Did not find a place to sit and work; there is a study with a large dining table setup, fairly uncomfortable for work. No provision to keep luggage in case you are outside the check in / check out time. Beach is clean. People at reception were nice and helpful. Otherwise a decent place to stay.
