Bad service!

I give this Hyatt in Mississauga a 2 star rating mainly due to check in which was at 3 but room was only available after 5. Which therefore we were unable to make it to the CNE Festival, which was the reason coming up this way. Kids were at least excited for swimming in the pool, but then informed the pool just closed for maintenance. The rooms themselves were clean, and not outdated.

The Hotel is nice and new however. The service is terrible they literally had 6 staff members standing at reception. And only one person was working while they all stood there and looked at the long line and did nothing. Also the walls a paper thin you can hear everyone’s around you. And the water pressure sucks !!

I don't want to give this review but only doing it hoping management sees it and can work on these things. When we arrived for check in after the check in time, our room wasn't ready. We were told this was because they were sold out the night before. We had a long day and waited until 3pm so we went expecting to check in. When we asked front desk how long, they couldn't give us an answer. We waited for a while and then front desk agent offer us a room but that wasn't what we booked. So not a good start. We stayed for 5 nights, housekeeping never came by once to freshen up the room or clean. Not 1 time. We would request new towels and it would take hours, and we would ask again, wait an hour and then call down again. It took what seemed like an unreasonable amount of time. For two days we requested extra blankets only not to get them. Then finally one day we count 4 times through the day we called down only not to get them. I then in the evening when down to front desk to ask again and then finally around 10pm we got it. I know the hotel is newly opened and they seemed unprepared, untrained and not ready to handle the scale of business. We aren't picky travelers - it's just unfortunate that this was our experience. Given our reason of travel we spent a little extra expecting the extra comfort but it was probably the lowest experience when it comes to housekeeping/service. Positives - The breakfast was among the BEST tasting breakfast we've every had for 'hotel' breakfast

I was quite upset room wasn’t ready at 3pm (We were able to check in by 3:30) Shuttle was a bit complicated Staff called me a man - I am not male There was a staff sitting up sleeping behind the desk at one point - which I thought odd Breakfast was full and beautiful Room and building very nice - somethings not quite finished but you could see that they trying to get things in order

The staff was incredible; they explained everything to you. The breakfast hours are very convenient if you have an early flight, and the airport shuttle is one of the best to get to YYZ.

Most aspects of our stay were satisfactory, but I think they could pay more attention to cleaning. The area under the bed was very dirty, and it bothered me that housekeeping or management staff would enter without asking, wearing their shoes. It didn’t even seem like the floors were properly cleaned. Communication between the front desk and housekeeping/management staff was really poor. While all the staff were friendly, requests sometimes took more than a day to be addressed. Things we asked for weren’t communicated properly, which made the process quite inconvenient.

Loved the facilities, and we had an amazing time overall for our six nights booked. We had two rooms booked, but sadly the Chromecast wasn’t working in one of them so we couldn’t use the TV. We also had some inconsistency in the cleaning, but they had new people touch up the following day.
