The location is great - restaurants, shopping, museums, all within walking distance. Subway right there. It is shabby and rundown, but clean enough. "Hot" water is slow to warm up.

We used the luggage storage room (got handed a key) and there was actual trash in it... Empty Tim's cups, vodka bottle, tampon applicator, etc. Pretty gross, but we didn't really have a choice so we took our valuables with us and stowed the rest for the day until check in. Room was okay, but it's definitely not the Howard Johnson it used to be anymore.

The toilet was blocked in our room. They gave us another room the second night of our stay. Room keys didnt work. Water pressure was very low, and the water not hot enough to have comfortable shower.

Inexpensive for a reason...

Ceiling tiles missing, cleanliness issues, temperature control difficulties, breakfast to be avoided. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Needs some work. Beware of parking fee.

A fridge in the rooms is kind of standard for a "hotel" and provided in most motels. Surroundings need some work, peeling/breakage/rusty brass lamps... Cleanliness good, staff friendly.

No changes since last here 5 years ago including .

Phone does not work,had to go down to office to report problems and get more blankets,heat did not work slept in sweaters sat in coats,smoke detector not flashing. Nice view, well located.o info on how to work tv,channels etc. Really concerned about phone not working incase of emergency.

Didn’t like the way some staff spoke to me when asked a question. “I don’t know, go figure it out check the sign”, check in they sent me to a room that wasn’t ready had things in it that belonged to someone. I liked the room and the awesome tv in the room but it was very cold in the room and heater wasn’t warming up even on its highest setting!

The tv was stuck on a channel and wouldn’t turn off unless it was unplugged, there was no hot water, the plug for the hair dryer didn’t reach the outlet in the bathroom, the staff was very unhelpful, the “breakfast” was a few loaves of bread with a toaster and some mini muffins and a couple cartons of juice, there was a strange odour in the elevator and throughout the halls, the parking was extremely overpriced and there is no way to access the hotel from the parking lot.

The furnishings and halls and foyer are very TIRED. This hotel needs a major overhaul especially given its location. It does not appear to cared for.
