Check in time - are you serious?

Great location and place however the ladies at the front were less than friendly…I get that check in is listed at 3:00 but if you show up at 2:50 and are given the riot act stating that you will be assessed a 50 early check in fee is a bit ridiculous…told me you’d have to check if a room was available when maybe there was 4 cars in the parking lot and I had reserved a room which I should have in the next 10 Mins…. Seriously??

Unfortunately they did not have any rooms available that were quiet and away from the elevator or the ice machines. The woman working the front desk was a bit disappointing, had a bit of a attitude, and not very helpful. Think her name was Kristina. Not my first stay here but probably my last.

My wife & I have stayed at this hotel several times. We just love it because it’s usually quiet, the staff is friendly and their service is tremendous, the rooms are clean, the beds are comfortable and large bathrooms. They have a number of included amenities (refrigerator, microwave, hot breakfast (waffles, scrambled eggs, sausage, etc.).

It was quiet and mostly clean, but I did see small ants. Then In the am we had left a cinnamon roll out the night before (in a box) and it was invaded by ants. I showed the front desk clerk and she was very good, she came to our room and asked what she could do to help the situation, and promptly gave us $5 to purchase another Cinnabon. She handled the situation very well.

It was great for a passing through hotel. They could catch the cobwebs on the ceiling, but it was pretty clean other than that. Coffee was not good at breakfast, but the rest of the food was good.

Pretty weak when the friendliest person in the place was the guy mopping the floors and keeping the breakfast bar stocked! Front desk personnel seemed less than over-joyed to be there. Kind of like automatons. Probably not the best people to be the front face of your business. We’ve stayed at the Comfort Inn in Gaylord, Michigan a couple of times now and everyone in the place from the front desk personnel to the people who clean the rooms is always cheerful and friendly. Other Comfort Inn locations could take lessons from that one! The Maumee location met our needs, but nothing to write home about…
