Stayed in a jacuzzi suite. Had a view, albeit over a parking lot and office building, off the sun seating over the Rockies each night. Breakfast was solid if unspectacular. The hotel was full when we stayed so the pool and hot tub area was filled with kids the three days we stayed. Very convenient if you gamble as Deerfoot Casino is literally across the street.

Nice updated rooms however didn’t care for the connecting door as could hear other guests in the next room. At one point the guest in the connecting room tried to open the door and was shaking it and turning the knob, kinda scary! Liked the hot tub however could only use for 15 minutes as it closed at 9, a bit early in my opinion.

Again the convenience from the Trans Canada was our reason for staying here. Comfort was OK, but we found that the laminate floors were dirty. After showering and walking around the room our feet were not clean.

Rooms were terrible, dirty carpets, stain sheets, door to pool side didnt lock. Gave us another room, and was not much better other than sheets were ok, and there was no carpets, toilet was cracked and the watwr pressure was not even enough to get the soap out of your hair.

Decent place to stay, nice beds and good location

The Superior Inn was a decent place to stay on our trip to Thunder Bay. The bathroom had 2 sinks which was nice and the shower was very roomy. The shower head wasn't adjustable so it was more of a spray down than the kind of shower head we usually use. There is a closet in the room with ample place to store shoes and luggage bags. The room was clean with laminate floors. The beds were VERY comfortable- even the rollaway bed, which was a really nice and welcome thing to have. There were a few minor maintenance issues that we shared as we left so I am not sure how well they deal with maintenance requests. The pool area was good. Unbeknownst to us, the water slide was only open a limited time- luckily one of the times was one of the nights we were there. There were a few lifeguards on duty while the slide was but they were more interested in chatting amongst themselves than actually manning the water slide, which made the slide line go very slowly as the kids on the slide had to watch for the person in front of them to go down the slide. There was a chair at the top of the slide for a lifeguard, but all 3 lifeguards were sitting at the bottom talking. There is a grocery store right next door, which was nice to have, as well as a pharmacy right across the street. And it is very easy to get to the main road so the location was excellent for us. This isn't the best hotel we've ever stayed at but it wasn't the worst either.

I really want to give the property a positive review, but I just can't. Our room was on the opposite end of the single access doors; pool view but no easy access to pool (had to walk all the way to front entrance area), it was unclean and weirdly dark in our room and hallways, and I found a dirty bandaid in the ice bucket. When I asked for a replacement, they didn't have any other ice buckets and insisted, repeatedly, that I stand there and wait for them to clean it. The kids loved the pool and waterslide, and the location was convenient.
