Disappointing Stay — The Staff Deserves 5 Stars, the Hotel Does Not We were really disappointed with our stay at Cactus Inn & Suites. We brought our three teens from Austin, and the place looked nothing like the pictures. Most of the amenities were so outdated they barely worked, and the rest were closed because of a tournament they were hosting. The few things that were available closed at 9 p.m., which is pretty early when you're traveling with teenagers. Our room was also in terrible shape. The lighting was extremely dim, and there were literal holes in the walls. I’ve attached photos so you can see what we walked into. Honestly, the staff was the only good part of our stay. Everyone we dealt with was incredibly nice, helpful, and polite. They deserve 5 stars, and they’re the only reason I’m giving this place 2 stars instead of 1. It’s a shame because the staff was wonderful, but the hotel itself was a huge disappointment. I wish the pictures had reflected the actual condition of the property and that we’d been told ahead of time that so many amenities would be unavailable. I wouldn’t stay here again.

Very fast check in. Convenient off the freeway. Room was spacious with fun decor.

Great experience

Room had spiders and bugs in it. Smelled so bad. Major cigarette burns on furnishings, linens and fixtures, even though we were told it was newly remodeled. So close to the freeway, that’s all you hear all night. Staff was helpful, but property definitely didn’t feel safe.
