View from the room was very nice, looked on to the grape vines. Water in the shower was cold never did heat up, to cold to wash my hair. Carpet in room needed repair. Ordered breakfast the first morning, dirty plates were still there the next day. Room was not picked up, when I called for housekeeping around 2:30pm was told they could only deliver clean towels which they did but breakfast dirty dishes were still not picked up. For the money I expected a little more.

Large comfortable room, bed. Lovely view outside our door of the vineyards. Nice pool area. My only issue was the resort fee, not enough amenities to consider it a resort. No restaurant but had a breakfast available. Nice restaurants in the area. Many wonderful wineries and vineyards. Would stay again.

The worse thing was the bed! Very uncomfortable feels extremely old as well as the pillows. The pool is good clean enough but there is no jacuzzi, food closes early. In general, the places is ok, rooms have a decent size but the carpet is extremely dirty, the rest of the e room including the bathroom is clean. A little unsafe because the gate is open 24/7 and anyone can access the rooms through the patio, the privacy is also sucked everyone can see you.

In town for family wedding at nearby winery. Overall it is a good location within 15 min drive of shops and restaurants but the resort itself is a little dated. Their room service food is awful, showers terrible, an while the tasting room is nice with excellent service, the wine is completely unmemorable even to the average consumer. We haven’t been to any other wineries in the area to compare, but this is not a “resort” like a JW Marriott or nice Hilton would be.

We stayed at The Carter Estate Resort for my birthday and it was absolutely amazing! The property is quiet, peaceful, and very safe, with stunning views all around. The location is perfect close to wineries yet tucked away enough to truly relax. I loved how calm and serene everything felt. Definitely a place I'd recommend to anyone looking for a beautiful getaway. I'll absolutely be coming back. Thank you for making my birthday so special I truly appreciated everything! #Room27

It starts with check-in you arrive in between talking and texting on their cell phones, they hand you a key card and tell you your bungalow is at the end of the street. No hello and welcome no welcome package no map no this is what we have going on during your stay, no this where the pool is, and we serve breakfast and lunch there, no nothing. I figure the welcome package must be in the room. Find our bungalow get in no welcome package So later Sunday when when we got back to the room at 4pm no house keeping. No fresh water no replacements for coffee or tea no replacement tissue no trash pick-up, nothing. I had developed a cold during our travels. All the trash cans were full, very small trash cans. She heads to front desk to complain about no housekeeping. When she brought up the water tea coffee and tissue. They walked away filled a garbage bag and said here. Now it’s between 12am and 1am and we’ve been woken up by heavy equipment operating outside our window and in the vineyard. No heads up that this would be occurring. I didn’t realize that when you booked a hotel room that you had to specify that you wanted to be able to sleep between the hours of 12am and 4am. That’s when they finally stoped. When we brought up the issue of the equipment running outside of our room that evening. They said she could not do anything since we booked through Expedia. Expedia can you please help us?

Great small bungalow resort

This is a great smaller property with great views from every room. Very quiet, private and with easy access to wineries nearby. The sister property is very close and both properties have a tasting room to enjoy. The food choices are a bit smaller here, but you can easily shuttle 3 minutes to South Coast Winery and Resort for a wonderful meal in their great restaurant or patio. Would definitely stay here again.
