Te Anau Hill Vacation Packages

We had to wait half an hour coz they couldn’t find our booking, later realised their mistake and asked us to take another room because they had miss allocated. We agreed as they had upgraded us from two bedrooms to an apartment however upon moving we noticed it was a run down apartment with no aircon. Staff was great and acknowledged the mistake, gave us better accommodation the next day but overall the property is old and not worth the money unless you’re in the Lakeview apartment which has great views.

We stayed in a 3 bedroom villa. First thing u need to know is the 3rd bedroom downstairs has a single bed. This threw things out for us as our youngest didn't want to sleep downstairs on her own, so our giant teenager had to have a single bed while the younger child had a double bed all to themselves. Knowing the layout would have changed my decision. The downstairs of the villa was freezing, the air con wasn't working properly. How a property doesn't have proper heating in the NZ winter is beyond me. We asked for it to be fixed, they brought over some small heaters. That warmed it up, housekeeping them took them away the following day. Housekeeping was so hit and miss. Some days they replaced a couple of towels, others all, other just took out the rubbish etc. Kitchen not properly stocked made it hard to cook. Villa 53 car park is not in front of the unit. Such a bizarre set up.

We stayed in the deluxe cabin and it was exactly what we asked for. The place itself was warm and all the amenities were provided which was helpful. We found the staff very nice and accomodating and the free shuttle to town was a nice touch. Only comment on our cabin was that one of the wall heaters in the room wasn’t working

the entire property is so good we stayed for 3nights , really love it

Asked for a water view and got it albeit a bay rather than the main lake. It was still a water view. So very convenient to the CBD, just a walk down a hill and through a park and you are there. Comfy bed, laundry in the bathroom. Staff attended to broken grate in shower promptly although we asked about a heat pack and they didn’t come back to us. Needed to phone externally as no reference in house on how to phone reception. Paid parking was worth it.

Everything was excellent. We were upgraded to a studio self contained room at no extra cost. This was great as we had washing machine/dryer and kitchenette, giving us option to wash clothes after big day and cook food if required. Great hotel that has made our stay memorable.

Great hosts great location
