We live local to the hotel and our stay was because our house uninhabitable owing to major electrical work. We have used this hotel many times in the past for office Christmas parties, wedding receptions, dinners but it has clearly become very run down since then. We saw very few staff during our 3 night stay and housekeeping was non existent. One of the car parks was strewn with debris, old chairs, bedding etc. Breakfast was, to say the least, basic and the breakfast room was unstaffed as far as we could tell on all 3 mornings we were there. It appeared that the hotel clientele was mostly tradesmen. We have good memories of this hotel in past years but it has obviously suffered a steep decline. It is not a hotel for a leisure break.

Spacious!

Super spacious room - by far multiple times bigger than other accomodations we stayed at in UK. Safe area and easy access to restaurants etc. But the rooms and facility are very dated. Still a good value.

Brilliant Hotel

I was at a festival up the road and this hotel was near by and reasonably priced. The breakfast was extra and that was a good price. Excellent priced at £12.50 and very good with a great selection. Very clean and the staff were very friendly. Check-in and out very simple. Wished I had time for the facility’s So good I might book it again end of month.

OK

Although there was staff on hand to help, the check in system where you make your own keycard and do it all yourself is a little odd. Hotel would have been very nice when built, but many areas need some fresh paint or an uplift now. Bed was OK, although no mini fridge or bottled water in the room, which is always a downside for me. Breakfast was so-so. Didnt use what appears to be a wide range ofother facilities though as I was only there overnight for work.

Room 290

Excellent Service from bar staff at The Grill - personal and professional. Room 290 - bathroom needs a really good clean, limeacale removal and replace very aged beeding around bath edges. Unable to use plug in sink, got stuck. Room itself was excellent, working air-conditioning. Breakfast - great selection, great layout. The staff were very professional, polite and friendly. Excellent wifi! I would book accommodation here again. Thanks
