The day we were there the facilities were closed due to the hotel closing spa and pool etc. there was companies which had taken over for the two days. Would have been useful to know this before booking.

A very nice hotel, although the family room we were given was so small I had to say something. There wasn't room to move or put anything! The receptionist was very helpful and as I was an IHG member, moved us to two adjoining rooms which made our stay, especially our grandaughter who then had her own room! We enjoyed the breakfast, although it could have been hotter, and the location of the hotel made it easy to walk everywhere.

We stayed at Crown Plaza for 3 nights. The location was excellent and the staff were very helpful and welcoming. The breakfast was amazing with everything you could wish for. The weather was kind to us so took full advantage of the spacious outside area with comfortable seating overlooking the river. The only disadvantage was the lack of storage space in the bedroom. Overall an excellent hotel and I wouldn’t hesitate to stay again and recommend it to others.

Nothing wrong with the hotel as such but I struggle to imagine the amount of breakfast I would have to eat to make the extra cost worthwhile - instead we went into town and had just what we wanted for a quarter of the price. The main reason for choosing the hotel was that it advertised a swimming pool. The reception area had a board listing all sorts of meeting rooms - but didn't bother showing residents where the pool was and the room had no welcome pack at all so my wife had to ask the receptionist about access, towels, lockers etc. Surely this could be made clearer? In the event, the size of the pool was somewhat disappointing. The building is big, corporate and soul-less with long corridors and lines of rooms reminiscent of a David Lynch film - on a future visit to the town, I would definitely stay somewhere with a bit more character, even if it wasn't so shiny.

Excellent check-in and clearly explained where the room was. Bed was so comfortable and everything was so clean. Breakfast was vast and delicious. The only negative was a huge brown stain on the bedroom floor carpet- this didn’t affect our stay but was just rather unsightly!

Great hotel in the center of Stratford upon avon. Our family room was very comfortable, quiet and spacious eith good room facilities, e.g. hairdryer, iron, kettle. The breakfast was good quality and varied. It was very busy, but there were plently of staff to stock up the food. More vegsn/ vegetarian hot food, e.g. vegan sausages would make it even better! We enjoyed the pool area. The pool is quite small, so on one visit we did have to wait to use the pool as it was at capacity. There are no private changing rooms, so we did end up using the toilets to change as there were some unsupervised boys aged about 10 in the ladies changing rooms which made my slightly older daughters uncomfortable. The bar is great, in particularly the outside riverside area. The staff in all areas were very helpful and friendly.
