The house is beautiful and clean. We really enjoyed the small welcoming touches and how personable the hostess is. The breakfast and conversations were great!

Terrible communication

My room was clean but I did find a couple of bugs in my room. a large caterpillar like bug and some other bug in my bathroom. This hotel seems understaffed. Sometimes there isn't anyone available at the front desk. Seems the manager lives at the hotel and will shut the front down at night. They do have a large laundry room that I didn't use. the fitnesss room does have modern cardio equipement. No pool. The only other issue I had was I requested a late check out. However, all they offered was a 12pm check out that would cost me about $50 anything longer I'd have to pay a full day. Lastly, the morning of my check out, after getting an email & text reminding me of my check out time, one of the hotel employees came to my room at 10:20am, didn't knock, just opened the door while I was laying in bed. When I yelled, "What are you doing?" He said, "Just a reminder that check out is at 11am. This was completely unnacceptable

Lots of spiders, to be expected in the setting though. I would have preferred a shower to the big tub which is hard to get in and out of. Absolutely stunning retreat however, a lovely experience and I highly recommend!

We loved our stay! Such a unique place with so much character, and everyone we met was friendly and welcoming. Being able to bring our dogs made it even better—they loved it just as much as we did! We’re already looking forward to coming back.

We liked everything, very clean, very organized they have everything you need. Staying there was one of our favorite parts of our trip ;)
