Good for quick stay- no elevators

We had a quick one night stay on our way back home. The hotel is decent. There is no elevator though...be prepared to drag the luggage up the stairs. The complimentary breakfast is good, the bed is comfy and the room reasonably clean.

There was a used/dirty fork from a previous guest under the table in the room (speaks to the overall uncleanliness of the room), the phone didn’t work so we couldn’t call to the front desk. The room was old and dark, not a lot of light. The air conditioning unit had mold and smelled horrible. Since my son and I have allergies and asthma, and we are both highly allergic to mold, we had to leave and go to another hotel. There was a lot of noise in the morning (5:30 / 6:00 am) from cars and people walking by. Definitely wouldn’t stay at the property nor recommend it. I did speak to management and they apologized for the inconveniences we experienced.

Best hotel I've stayed at in such a long time! It was also the cheapest under 100 per night but that doesn't mean poor quality and service here. I was so impressed, the reviews about this place were not lying. What I loved about this hotel: the staff are very friendly, their shuttle is always on time and convenient to take you to the airport and the metro. The breakfast spread is amazing for what you pay for. It would get changed up a little bit each morning but it was really fresh and sanitary. Also, me and my boyfriend were both so impressed with how little we could hear once we got in our rooms. We did stay on the 2nd floor which was helpful so we didn't hear anyone above us. Either way, we couldn't hear our neighbors, it was just a really nice, safe, and quiet property. As for the mattresses, they were great in my opinion. I'm sure there are others who want like a tempur-pedic but you just aren't going to have your mattress from home when you stay somewhere else. There was enough support so my back wasn't hurting in the morning. The only bummer to this hotel is it's not around any restaurants or stores. There is a gas station and a pub right by the hotel but the pub's food is just ok so you might have to take advantage of delivery services which can get pricey. Overall, I would totally stay here again. I had no issues, our room smelt clean right when we came in. The shuttle to the metro was great to get into DC on the silver line. 10/10.
