Lowest type of economy chain hotel. Unventilated room with panel heater or cheap desk fan. Neither make this a comfortable place to be. The bed is Travelodge of 15 years ago - small double, low quality mattress (ours made a pinging noise as a spring released) that always moves when the other person move. Restful night on a long journey : forget it. The Greene King pub next door served badly fried food and has sticky floors so that was no consolation. The staff were pleasant enough though!

Very welcoming check in, and very willing to help make us even more comfortable with our stay. They are a dig friendly Hotel, and although we don’t dislike dogs, we asked to be moved in case we were woken by barking pets, and there was no problem at all. The rooms are clean and comfortable and we had a great nights sleep

Very hard bed, no air conditioning but the room did have a very noisy fan. Breakfast was not well stocked, maybe they were short staffed?
