So - yes this is a motor lodge- BUT it has recently had renovation to at least the downstairs rooms and they did a fabulous job. The room was spotless and the people at the front desk could not have been nicer. AND here's the amazing part it, is about 100 feet from the middle of St Augustine historical center- shops, food, music, art. I hesitate to write this because I want to be able to get a room next time we go and afraid they will be booked:)

Musty smell in room

Musty smell walking in for the first time. Wasnt so bad later, had to put a sugar, coffee and creamer packet in the AC unit to stop a vibration. Did have a cough though out the night and wife had a runny nose all day. People who worked there were super nice. Very clean, pillow and bed was hard as a rock. Modern looking room. Never could figure out if the tv worked or not, we tried and well never could get anything on. Probably wont be be back, musty smell just didnt seem right. Sad cause it is a beautiful place and people were very kind.

A freshly renovated old school motel in Old Town.

This place is a local independently owned motel just to the side of historic St Augustine. The place is freshly renovated and extremely clean. The front desk staff was friendly and very helpful. It's less than a 2 minute walk to the Lion's Bridge. No pool, but it has onsite parking. It's no Four Seasons, but for what it is, it earns it's high rating from me. Pet friendly, too.

Excellent stay!

We had an excellent stay at the Marion Lodge!! Excellent service rooms were very clean bathroom was real small but worked for us! Very convenient to downtown you can walk to everything or take the trolley which stops in front of the lodge. Definitely would stay there again!
