Disappointed by a beautiful hotel

It was a beautiful hotel but the room was not so much. The bed was messed up when we got there, my wife sat on it and it fell backwards. She sat on the floor after that while I sat in the chair. We called the front desk. 45 mins later they called back and said they were sending someone to put a board under the mattress. They didn’t fix it at all. Took over an hour for him to come to the room. Put a 2 in board under the mattress…. It wasn’t fixed but enough my wife could lay on it. I however could not because it was way too tall for me to get on. I called at 6 to ask for a rollaway since I wasn’t going to be able to sleep on the bed and it took 2 hours to get the rollaway to my room. When I went to check out I had a destination charge on my account. I was tired and ready to go so I didn’t ask about it at the desk but as soon as I got home I called. The front desk supervisor apologized and said the clerk should have told me about it. He refunded me that charge. I told him about my stay and he said he couldn’t refund me because I went through a 3rd party site. I contacted hotels.com and they tried to get a refund. Was told No and was hung up on. Very unprofessional in my opinion. I have stayed at a different Davenport in the past and this experience compared to that one was the complete opposite. I’m highly unhappy and unlikely to recommend any of my followers to stay at your hotel. It wasn’t until I posted this review on their site that I got any reply back about my refund.

Disappointed at extra fees!

The hotel is lovely however, we arrived and were told our room was ready and we said we’re told that if we checked in before 4pm we would be charged a $25 early check-in fee! That is unacceptable. Also, there is a resort fee? What resort is there?

This hotel is beautiful! It was nice, clean, and quiet. Staff is very friendly and their service is great. Beds are comfy but out room was warm even though we had it at the coldest setting :( but overall it was a great experience! The area around the hotel is clean and there is a good amount of restaurants that are walking distance.
