Bad first impression

Once arrrived the lines were super long and slow. Parking was a mess. Once i was greeted i had to wait an additional 30 minutes for a room to be available.

Housekeeping is a joke. Didn't get to room till after 5 PM. Never restocked just left towels and made bed. No Valet Parking. Had to park across the main road and walk to entrance 1/2 mile plus. I have spent more than 30 days in hotels this pass year and I rate this stay as the worse, especially for the price they charge. Do not stay here.

I had a fantastic stay at the Courtyard by Marriott in South Padre Island. The hotel was very clean, and the staff was friendly and welcoming. The location is perfect, just a short walk to the beach and close to many great restaurants and attractions. The pool was great for both kids and families, and the on-site food was delicious and reasonably priced. The drinks were also very good. I really appreciated that there were so many kid-friendly activities nearby, making it easy to keep the family entertained. The only downside was that room service did not clean our room daily or provide fresh towels. I had to track someone down to get towels, which was a bit inconvenient. Overall, this is a great place to stay for a family vacation, and I’ll definitely be returning!

Beds are not comfortable . Breakfast at bar loui was ok but I think as a Marriott hotel the quality of food could be much better. We ordered couple of cocktails and mocktails and they were ok. Towels need to be cleaner

Not enough parking so had to park across the street in their "overflow" parking. Staff was really nice, but not enough staff at front desk. Tried checking in at 2:30 but room not available till 4:00 so we had to go straight to the beach. When we came back after 6 pm, they weren't even sure room was available, but thank God it was. I LOVED the views from bar, beachfront and pool. Bar Louie's was awesome w great band and friendly staff! Just thought for what we paid, room could've been available sooner w more parking on same side of street.

The property is very convenient for the beach. I called the front desk 4 times to receive housekeeping service on our last day at the hotel. Finally they sent someone at 9:30 PM. and they gave us some fresh towels and left, The housekeeping staff did not speak a word of English. So it was very difficult to communicate even very simple things.

Dear Marriott Customer Service, My husband and I recently stayed at your hotel (room 348) and were very disappointed. Despite requesting a room with two queen beds for our family, we were given a king bed and a sofa sleeper that creaked all night. The phone in the room didn’t work, and housekeeping didn’t service our room on two days. The staff, including the manager, showed little empathy or willingness to help. Additionally, the hotel and restaurant atmosphere lacked basic hospitality. This experience does not meet Marriott’s standards, and we will not be returning.
