I really wanted to give a perfect rating for this lodge but a few things are preventing me. The property itself is nice. A big open green grassy space a giant fire pit, chairs, and the river running through. Weather permitting, they get the fire pit going and it seemed like a great place to sit. It was quiet the night we were there and I did sleep well. The room itself had plenty of room for my dog and I. However, the bathroom is tiny...I mean TINY. The door hits the toilet when you open it. The sink area is shoulder width and right next to the toilet so there isn't much room. In our room, when you turned on the hot water it slowly turned itself off. The water was hot immediately, it just didn't stay on. There were several places in the bathroom where I found long black hairs and my hair is definitely not black.
My biggest issue were the dogs running loose on the property. There were four dogs. One dog stayed in the office area and was not a problem. The other three dogs were roaming the property . I could not get my dog outside to potty or walk due to the loose dogs. I finally went and asked who the dogs belonged to and I found out they belonged to friends of the owners who were staying on the property. They did put the dogs up for a short time so mine could go potty but it was frustrating not being able to enjoy the property or experience due to the loose dogs. I will not stay again due to the loose dogs, and I cannot recommend this property.
