The service staff really need training. The service was shocking. Food could be much better as well. £14 for a margarita pizza that looked like it was cooked from frozen, and £15 for a large nachos that was actually small.

Unusual location, pleasant enough.

Staff were friendly and helpful, grounds are lovely. Hotel is bit tired but OK. Weird smell if you stay down in the junior suites, the corridors smell like drains

Beautiful hotel!

Beautiful hotel in gorgeous surroundings. Room was clean and comfortable. Food was absolutely amazing, the spa and treatments were lovely, and staff were all fabulous! I'd definitely return!

Disappointing

Room was a good size but being below Reception (level 2) our window looked out straight on to the grounds so we had to keep the curtains closed. The double bed was in fact two singles, which isn't unusual but the headboard for one of the beds was attached to the wall in the corner, which meant that half the mattress didn't have a headboard. And the plug socket was on the wall right behind it. Generally speaking it needed a good clean and updating. As we were only there for one night we tolerated it but probably wouldn't stay here again.

60’s couple

We regularly stay here as it’s close to our family. The rooms are big, warm and comfortable with the addition of bathrobes. and the beds are to our liking. A bit of comfort on a cold autumnal day. The breakfast’s are fabulous with a large selection of hot and cold foods. The grounds of the hotel are nicely laid out and come in handy to walk our dog

A decent hotel for an overnight stay . Excellent breakfast and lovely grounds . Helpful staff . Rooms could do with a bit of a spruce up but nothing too major , nice bathroom with the handrail being a nice touch .
