"Warm, Clean, friendly staff "
There is a one cup coffee maker in the room, but you have to ask for the coffee and the basket. There is a mini-fridge and a microwave. The free breakfast is mini-muffins, baby bagels, mini-cinnamon rolls, apples, toast and three cereals. Juice and milk. Nothing to get excited about, but warm and clean. Clientele seemed to be mostly construction guys. The hotel offers it's own stay-11-nights-get-1-free program

"Close to family that I was visiting."
Room was nice. Had to clean my coffee maker before I could use it. Didn't eat breakfast there. They only had cold cereal, Danish and muffins . I did get a cup of orange juice each morning. I prefer motels that do a hot breakfast.

Americas Best Value Inn

"Mixed emotions. Be prepared to eat out."
Mixed feeling about this hotel. The king bed was pillowtop and very comfortable. The room was clean and comfy. The only issue was the toilet. Water wasn't filling the tank. Turned the knob down by the floor to no avail. No water. Had to fill using the sink to be able to flush. But the worst thing about the hotel was the breakfast. Had a waffle iron. Not turned on because there was not batter. Plenty of syrup in the cabinet. No batter. Bread was more mold than bread. Just laying out for over an hour because no one attended to the breakfast. Too embarrassed to go in there to clean up, so pathetic stuff just sitting there for the next people to come in and see. Had nice juice machine. Didn't work properly, so there was a gallon of milk and orange DRINK in a small fridge. Pastries were hard. The muffins were the only things that seemed fresh and tasted the way you would have expected. No breakfast would have been better than what was offered here. Be aware and prepared to not eat on the premises. The room was better than expected. The toilet and the breakfast needs to be flushed.

Historic St. James Hotel

"Charming historic hotel"
Upon our arrival we were greeted by Taj, a very competent and friendly young man. He first assigned us a suite, but we preferred a regular room for our one night stay. We found our room to be charming and a good size for an older hotel. We entered from the courtyard and had a view of the river (though it was much too cold to sit on the balcony and enjoy it). We had a lovely dinner in the dining room and enjoyed drinks and conversation with several local folks at the bar. In the morning we had a classic southern breakfast at a local restaurant as breakfast is no longer served in the hotel.

Selma is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Selma, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Selma hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
