"The hotel was very nice, the grounds were beautiful"
Everyone was very nice. Helen at the reservations desk made my trip exceptional. She helped me with tours, recommendations and even travel to the next city. Employees like her make trips memorable. The location is excellent being right down the street from the bus, across from the beach and ocean, walking distance to Manual Antonio and lots of nice eateries.

"Truly Wonderful (Everything You Would Want) Here"
Everything was literally excellent, the room (and its ocean views), the overall facilities (which eliminate the need to go anywhere else other than for zip-lines, meaning we saw more wildlife on the property than at the close-by national park), the food was refreshingly enjoyable & with ample choices, and especially the staff whom went above & beyond while anticipating our needs each and every day of our visit. HIGHLY recommended.

"Amazing Time"
First and foremost the friendliness, hospitality, and ambient of the staff is ridiculously nice. The breakfast (included) in the morning was always top notch and delicious. No such thing as a continental cheap quality breakfast like most hotels offer. The pool, facilities, and all around are always taken cared off around the clock. Room was comfy, spacious, and perfect view. Only thing that you have to get used to is that there were few bugs roaming around the room at night, keep in mind youre in the middle of nature, and even though every effort is made to keep your room clean, bugs still found their way into your room. They did not bother at any point, like i said just took some getting used to. A+ experience in my book.

"Nice hotel located in a beautiful place"
The hotel is very nice, rustic and comfy. The food was really good. The room was nice and everything, but they need to change the towels and bedsheets. They are almost worned out. The landscape and surroundings are spectacular. The mountains, river, trees, flowers and plants are amazing. Same goes for all the variety of birds. Tip: bring a jacket. It could get cold.

"Highly Recommend Hotel Parador"
This was our first time visiting Costa Rica and we are glad we chose Manuel Antonio as a location and Parador as the hotel. There were three of us - my wife, 9-year old daughter and myself and we thoroughly enjoyed our vacation.

"Great hotel but very noisy "
This hotel was awesome, in a great location, and with nice facilities- especially the infinity pools. It's a pity that they were doing renovations during our stay so we couldn't really enjoy the view from our balcony as the workers were right there and they woke us up early each morning.

"Beautiful view!"
My family of four (two daughters in college), my husband and I stayed for five nights in July. The view was so gorgeous from our room in the adults only section. We overlooked the pool and right out to the beaches. We saw a beautiful sunset and had a capuchin monkey on our balcony one morning! Do not leave any clothes, shoes, on your balcony - they are at risk of being stolen! We saw a toucan one morning as well as squirrel monkeys on the property; we actually saw more wildlife on the property than in Manual Antonio national park. We had some good swims in the warm pool and used our kitchenette - refrigerator and stove to make breakfast and lunch every day, and then we went out for dinner. It was very practical and convenient. The walk to the beach is downhill for 10-15 minutes not on a sidewalk, next to a busy road. I didn't figure the timing of the public bus going down, but going up the hill, it was easy to catch the public bus down by the beach for less than a dollar and ask them to stop at Costa Verde. The only reason I gave fours was due to the fact that the beds have very hard mattresses, and in fact my shoulder was sore after sleeping on it for five nights. Overall - loved this hotel!!!!

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
