"Nice hotel located in a beautiful place"
The hotel is very nice, rustic and comfy. The food was really good. The room was nice and everything, but they need to change the towels and bedsheets. They are almost worned out. The landscape and surroundings are spectacular. The mountains, river, trees, flowers and plants are amazing. Same goes for all the variety of birds. Tip: bring a jacket. It could get cold.

Carretera a Orosi de Puente Negro, Orosi - Map
It's a nice hotel but u have to watch about the bugs and the food was ok. If u want a place that's secluded this a a nice play to stay. If u go out u have to find your own transportation. But we enjoyed our stay there. It also doesn't have hotel in the rooms it's only in the front office/ lobby area and the restaurant.

Hotel Casa Cambranes

Los Yoses, San Pedro, San Jose - Map
"Great hotel, owners, and location!"
The hotel is located in the Los Yoses area of San Jose. We picked this place because of the reviews and it lived up to all the good ones we read. Carlos, Naty, and Marvin (the cat) make you feel like family when you arrive. We were given a local cell phone programed with their numbers-just in case we needed it, a map, and a bunch of good recommendations for things to do/see/eat in the surrounding area. We had breakfast at the hotel and it was great! There is a grocery store, outdoor mall, and indoor mall/movie theater just a couple of blocks away. Also, just a short walk away is Starbucks-we're from Seattle :) A little further away are museums, parks, and a local suggestion to anyone looking for souvenirs is to buy them at the market across from the National Museum and if you're looking for coffee get it from Carlos. You can walk to the museums, parks, and market or take the city bus, cab, or use Uber to get around. The room we had was spacious, two beds, clean, big bathroom, a small refrigerator, TV (we never turned it on because we were always out exploring), a safe, and great WIFI. One thing to note, the rooms do not have A/C, but are equipped with fans. All in all we had a great time staying here and if we ever go back to Costa Rica we will be sure to stay here again.

Cabinas El Quetzal

1 km este escuela La Lidia, San Gerardo de Dota - Map
"Spacious room surrounded by wildlife"
The staff here were so accommodating. They allowed me to check in very late (~10pm), showed me around my space, which was surprisingly large and far more space than I needed, had a ridiculously delicious breakfast ready at any time that I wanted, accommodated my need to pay by credit card even though their machine was down at the time, and the list goes on. The room itself had plenty of blankets which I needed for the cold nights and was tidy and cozy. It also had a back patio with hammock overlooking the stream bed filled with wildlife - I even saw a coati in the yard! - and a garden full of flowers which attracted loads of hummingbirds. But honestly the staff made this place amazing. I had a few nice conversations with the receptionist, who coincidentally was also the chef, maid, etc. and she was just a lovely person. I'd really recommend Cabinas El Quetzal to anyone who's looking for a convenient place to stay while touring the beautiful surroundings looking for all types of wildlife.

Hotel Serenity - Quepos Hotels

Hotel Serenity

50 mts West Banco Nacional, Quepos - Map
"Hotel with good breakfast and close to everything"
We have been in this hotel 2 times already. The main reason why we chose this hotel again is because of a very good breakfast (rice with beans, fried egg, toast with butter and jam, cereal, freshly made different juices, fruit and coffee) that can keep you more than a half day full. The second reason is that hotel is located in Quepos and close to ocean walk that is 500 meters away, restaurants, stores, supermarkets, main bus terminal, marina and farmer's market (on Friday afternoon and Saturday morning). A very good pizza place is just across from hotel. The staff is nice. The receptionist helps with booking different activities through different agencies (they have activity book) or with calling a cab. This hotel started to renovate some rooms. One room where we stayed was older and the other one was remodeled. The swimming pool area is small, but nice and remodeled. The breakfast area is little bit older, but nice. To go to the beach you must take a cab or use the bus, because the nearby ocean is not for swimming. Bus is very cheap (310 colones / $0.62) and cab between 4,000 colones/ $8 (Playa Biesanz) and 5,000 colones/$10 (Manuel Antonio beach). The Quepos airport (if you came from San Jose using Sansa Air - $73) is 15 minues away.

Santa Maria is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Santa Maria, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Santa Maria hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
