The only criticism I have of the place is the check in process. You are unable to enter the building without a key card which makes it pretty hard to check in and get the key card in the first place. I walked all around the building trying to figure out how to get in.

I won't be staying at Aloft again, staff were not helpful and felt like they really didn't want to be there. The shower was not in its own room and was just part of the bedroom. It had clear glass and there wasn't even a curtain, so be ready for no privacy at all. Lastly, I was charged about $70 in extras that I shouldn't, and when I called to show them their mistakes so they could refund me, they said a Manager would call me back, which never happened. This place is a hard no from me.

Hotel was overall good with a 3.9 out of 5. Staff and valet greeted us with warm welcome and very nice hotel with modernized feel. First pitfall was only one elevator was working. There was no sign the other one was out of service so having to wait and utilize only one elevator was very time consuming. Room set up nice with mini wine fridge and a nook to work while looking out the window. Microwave was downstairs if you brought food back to the room but overall good feel. Great location to SCAD, Riverwalk. and lots of restaurants. Would have liked to been able to eat at the bar a night or so but the advertised snacks were not available only dips and that was definitely not going to satisfy my hunger craving. Thank goods a burger joint was around the corner otherwise I would have had to order out or get in the car and drive. Overall 3.9 out of 5 with price, location, and service
