Standards are in decline

Bathtub had some body hair in it. the sink seemed designed to splash and create pools of water on the counter. all amenities seemed smaller, thinner and of lesser quality than my previous stays. We stayed on two separate nights a week apart, each time the room was clearly booked for two people and each time there was only 1 facecloth provided and not enough towels.

Adequate, but not spectacular

This hotel is in a good location, close to the mall and the waterfront. It was nice to have indoor parking. Check-in was fast and friendly. The hotel itself is a bit dated and well-worn. The room was okay, but nothing special. It was clean, as was the bathroom. There was a good choice of pillows, but I didn't find the bed all that comfortable. The free breakfast was pretty basic, but adequate. The service was good. The hotel is connected to Soo Blaster where you can play arcade games and pool. There is a bar there as well. Overall, our stay was okay, though maybe not memorable.

We stayed here with our toddler for Rotaryfest 2025. We’ve stayed at the hotel before just ourselves. This room was clean, very spacious. The guests next to us however were pounding on the wall at 6:00pm I’m assuming to tell us to keep it down when our toddler wad playing. She was just playing with a beach ball and giggling and laughing. It happened again an hour later. No fault to the hotel, it was just kind of disappointing as we felt the need to tell her to be quiet constantly and it wasn’t an unreasonable hour. The last time we stayed here we had a few issues with cleanliness but this time it was spot on. We also had a great meal at the Soo Blaster located in the hotel. Our daughter played at the arcade as well.

Great location - very walkable to most of the tourist spots. Room quite dated, well equipped overall but with some broken furniture. Friendly staff. Our last night there was a heavy metal band playing in the hotel (no prior warning of this anywhere). Our room was quite literally shaking from the music right up to 10pm - unacceptable with young children in a family room. Front desk weren't able to offer any solution other than that they would address it with the manager in the morning. We never heard anything since.
