There is no hot water, the shower doesn't work, and wifi signal is very weak. But otherwise the room is OK, given the price. What struck me is the rudeness of the person at the front desk. When I told him at the checkout that the shower did not work, he literally started to yell at me that I should have told him earlier. When I said that I could not have told him earlier because I only discovered it last evening and that I wanted him to know this so that they could fix it for the next guest, he said it was none of my business.
The room smelled bad, no toiletries except for a bar soap, no microwave and refrigerator like advertised, asked for additional towels the guy had to look at the reservation to verify how many guest were staying but still did not get any towels, other guests were arguing with the guy while I was checking in and after they left he said some racial comments about the guest that made me uncomfortable about how he may express about me with others. In general a very negative experience at this establishment, never again will I come back here.

While the staff was good, property seemed like a slapstick comedy movie. No shampoo, conditioner, old toilets, ironboard couldn’t stand on it’s on. No iron in the room (to be asked). No blockers in bath tub and sink. TV wasn’t working. And when you wanna contact the reception there was no phone in the room. Had so much fun laughing along on each surprise.
The Caravelle is one of those places that probably used to be decent but it is just run down. It is in a bit of a run down area with other Inns in area boarded up, so trade must be tough.
Noise proofing of room was non existent so every noise from streets and neighbours felt like they were in room with me.
I wasn't expecting the Ritz but just basics would be nice. Had to ask for some disposable cup.
For the price it was fine, but it did feel like one of those places in those police dramas, that inevitably are the scene of crime or where you would hide out. :)
This property is very dated. It offers no amenities, soap. The tv and llight work from a wall switch. Theres no phone. The front desk is closed from 11pm until next day. I had to leave key in seminopened drop tray. It should be a by hour room rental. It served its purpose.
I liked the fact that it was optional to drive in late and still make it to the hotel on my trip after I checked in the day before, even after late hours.
I did not like the look of the room when I checked in. I also did not like the customer service. I checked in, saw the room, and decided it would be better for me to stay somewhere else. All of that took barely five minutes. The person at the front desk refused to give me a refund for the night when I only stayed five minutes. I also am wary of the liability waiver I had to sign- they mentioned that I wouldn't hold them liable for possible BEDBUGS. Further, I was not fully assured of the safety of my private information. They made copies of my credit card and drivers license, and were dismissive when I wanted affirmations that the information would be destroyed. All in all, I was not pleased with my "stay" there, and am especially upset that they refused my refund for a nights stay when I was only there for 5 minutes.
First there was only two shower towels and no hand towels, both of them had visible stains. When I asked for more towels they said they didn’t have any. The listing also said there was a refrigerator but there wasn’t one in the room and when I asked about it they just said nobody was there who can help with that. I had a reservation for 4 days and on the 2nd night I found bed bugs in my bed as well which I took pictures of. When telling the shorter Asian man at the counter about the bed bugs he seemed completely unfazed and just said sorry we are not liable and it makes me think they know about the bed bugs and are not doing anything about it. The younger girl at the counter also would be sitting in the lobby during the posted open hours with the door locked. She would talk to me through the glass and seemed to get frustrated when I said I can’t hear her over the traffic which is just rude. The hotel itself was very dirty and even my front door lock didn’t work properly. The dead bolt keyhole from the outside was chewed up so the key could not be entered so I could not lock my door safely when leaving my hotel room. Ontop of that the door itself was so crooked the door barely shut and with just the doorknob lock keeping it shut I’m very confident anybody can easily kick my door in and steal my belongings. My stay at this hotel was horrible and I wouldn’t recommend it to anybody. I checked out and went to the Holiday in next door and had an extremely better experience there.
First of all says free breakfast but there’s no breakfast it also says free Wi-Fi but the Wi-Fi is rarely working. So When I got in the room it seemed fine but then we looked at the clean house in there and they had food stains. I understand it’s hard to fully clean white towels but they looked dirty. I went to the front desk to ask for clean towels and they told me that they didn’t have any at the front desk or that they couldn’t get any that I needed to find a housekeeper and ask them for one. I asked the housekeeper and she mentioned that it’s every other day that they can give us clean towels therefore she was not gonna give us clean ones. Clean towels is a basic necessity at a hotel I couldn’t shower for two days. The front desk person just kept mentioning that it’s a very cheap hotel one of the cheapest in the city therefore that was her excuse for the towels being dirty. If you stay here bring your own towels and bedsheets since one of the bedsheets also had a boot print on it.
