We really enjoyed our stay here. The property is nice, with fun hut-style units. We loved our screened-in area with some chairs and a hammock for hanging out in the evenings, protected from the bugs.
We were traveling on a budget, which created a couple challenges:
The hotel is far from most things, aside from the ruins, so probably best if you have a car. When it was hot, it was too much to walk from town to the hotel and when it was cool, my 11-year-old daughter still complained a lot.
And, the restaurant was a little pricey for us, especially the buffet breakfast, which was the only option one morning at $15pp. (Usually there is a small cafe open that has more affordable options, but it does not serve food on Sundays and was closed inexplicably another morning.)
Finally, I will mention that there were what appeared to be mouse droppings in front of our door. I never saw any animals (aside from a few ants trying to carry away the droppings), but it was disappointing that housekeeping came and did not clean this up.
All that said, I would be happy to stay here again. I probably won't, because it doesn't fit with my kind of travel, but given some adjustments in budget to cover the extra expenses, it was an enjoyable stay.
