This was one of the best places we have stayed in a long time. As soon as you drive into the parking lot you are treated by green grass well groomed bushes and lovely baskets of flowers. When you enter the lobby you see a beautiful wood stair way leading to second level. The staff at the front desk were very friendly and helpful and spoke to us each time we went by. The rooms were very clean, beds were comfortable and we never heard of peep from the other rooms around us. The complimentary breakfast was always hot and well stocked. I would recommend the place to anyone. It is close to restaurants and shopping and only 6 miles from downtown Bangor.

The location of this home is very misleading. Although if you search the exact location, you will find it’s in/near the forest but looking at the pics posted you would think it was near the beach and it is not. I could overlook that if the home was stocked with everything needed and beds were comfortable but that was not the case. We were given 5 bath towels for 4 people for 4days, 1 dish cloth, 1 hand towel and 1 dirty sponge with no washer or dryer and no dishwasher. Extra towels were dropped off once we called the owner but we didn’t ask for toilet paper and ran out of that as well. It just seemed like the bare minimum was done to make us comfortable. If you stay here just know you need to bring your own supplies unless you want to spend your vacation on the phone with the owners.

This place was excellent! We decided to spend an extra night in Boothbay on a whim and stumbled upon Topside. We loved it so much that we'll absolutely be back. Breakfast the next morning was such a treat. It felt luxurious without being pretentious—beautifully done, warm, and incredibly welcoming. It was the perfect way to end our stay, and we can't wait to return.

Nice spot that is very close to bar harbor. Very clean and great for a large amount of people.

Place was small but clean. Set in pines back from road. Fun outdoor family restaurant serving seafood and other foods just a walk away. Short drive into Bar Harbor downtown. Good parking and good price for high season summertime. We would stay the ere again.

Property is ideally located for easy commute to downtown Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. Overall the room was clean. It is in need of updates, kitchen appliances clean but rusted. Main bedroom mattress was old spring loaded and uncomfortable. However, our daughter said the pull out sofa was comfortable. Housekeeping service not provided, even though a tip envelope was left in the room. Also, there was a constant sewage smell outside, that would blow in through when AC was running. If you are looking for an affordable rustic outdoor cottage experience this is for you!

Rooms were very clean, decently sized and located in a beautiful area but nearly an hour drive from the main section of Acadia National Park. Breakfast was acceptable but fairly limited. Property had a small hot tub and small sauna but both were only usable for possibly four people at a time so amenities were limited. Stairs up to the rooms did not appear to be in code and were steep so difficult to get the luggage up the stairs.
