I’ve stayed here in three times and the first two were ok— beds were clean and newer and the bathroom was old but clean. This time the bed was cheap and so uncomfortable and the air conditioning was extremely loud. I turned off the AC and the ambient noise was loud. The bathroom floor had tiles missing and the subfloor wasn’t great. You don’t have to be perfect, I just needed a place to lay my head a few hours, but I don’t want to stand on weak and rotting floor in the bathroom. Also, the stairs on the first building are completely rusting out. If someone were to trip, they would need a tetanus shot. You need to fix these things, or you need to not rent those rooms.

The property was fine. You could tell they have tried to update an old property. While no staff are on site, they communicate often by text/email. Very noisy location right next to a busy highway. Can't leave the window open due to highway noise. Nice view of the lake but there is no outdoor sitting area if you are on ground floor, just a few dinning room chairs out on the front lawn. They need to clean the window so you can enjoy the view. Make sure you get a room on the 2nd floor so you have a balcony. Our room had a fridge/freezer and microwave but I'm not sure all rooms have this.

The staff and room were lovely. It was a bit loud from traffic, but we would stay here again.

We stayed here for a pictured rocks cruise and access to a casino. Both plans worked out excellent. We mainly picked this hotel because dogs were allowed, as we have a small one. Restaurant across the street was very pricey, but Munising is a very short drive in for other amenities needed. Staff was helpful, especially Vicky. They were accomodating when our plans had to change due to sickness and early check out. Spa was overrun with kids and late nighters, but we didn't use it.

There was a standard cleaning fee not included in the booking price on Hotels, but even so it was an adorable little cabin, and I enjoyed my stay. It was easy to get in and out of, and very close to Pictured Rocks. The service in the area is spotty, which for me was nice and let me unplug a bit, but if that’s not your thing the cabin had wifi and a TV. The cabins are close together if that’s not your thing, but I never heard a peep from anyone else staying there, and the blinds installed allow for complete privacy.

The room was beyond dated, most of the outlets wouldn’t even hold my phone charger base, the room A/C unit barely worked and was so filthy you could see chunks of ick blowing out of it sometimes, and there was mold in the shower. For the purposes of my stay, a place to crash after a full day of adventuring, it worked. I informed the staff at checkout and they were appropriately apologetic and said they’d have the issues addressed promptly. Overall, a decent stay for hotel on a budget.
