I highly recommend this hotel. Very quiet, very clean, lovely room with modern finishes and balcony facing the cathedral. Check in and check out experience was easy. Bed super comfortable.

The hotel is in an ideal location right next to the cathedral. However, the rooms smell like mildew. I think the bathroom drains need to be cleaned. The sheets also smelled like mildew so perhaps the washing machine needs to be cleaned.

Location on Cathedral Doorstep

Very nice service, easy autonomous check-in, lovely staff. Quiet, staid and traditional feel which appeals to an older / veteran traveller, this place ticked all the boxes. Bring earplugs if you're coming for more than 1 night- the show on the Cathedral starts at 11 and it is loud. It was very nice staying here, Rouen has so much to see

Beautiful hotel, great breakfast, quiet at night, located right in front of the Cathedral and next to all points of interest and restaurants, very convenient! The only issue that we had was with the internet which at the moment of our stay the property had problems with the signal, further than that our stay was a great one!!!

The hotel was in a wonderful location overlooking a cathedral square. Also the room was modern and very clean and comfortable. We had an amazing stay at Hotel Cardinal and I highly recommend this hotel.

Arrived at the hotel around 8pm to find no one on reception, although booking says open until 9pm. Wasn’t able to advise arrival after 6pm as we were delayed by traffic on the way. No one answered the telephone number stuck to the entrance but someone from the bar next door let us in! As there was no one on reception we could enquire about breakfast the following morning. Disappointed with our room - seems a lot smaller than any on the photos (no 9). Also has peeling paintwork and mould in the shower. Not what I expected to pay over £90 for 1 night. There are certainly better and cleaner hotels in Rouen for the price.
