Comfortable, quiet room, perhaps needing a bit of updating. Staff was courteous, check in was easy, restaurant and bar were not interesting, and lacked customers. No breakfast or treats in the morning, only coffee. This is a good downtown location with plenty of restaurants and cafes within easy walking distance. We would stay again if a trip to Richmond was necessary.

Only think I don’t like was had to park in Parking Garage and pay extra for parking. They offer valet but would have had to pay a whole lot more to park. I feel for price paid that The Berkeley Hotel should give a voucher to customers to pay for parking garage fees

We enjoyed our stay. Staff was wonderful, the hotel is beautiful. Your Restaurant wasn't open for Breakfast but we got a great breakfast across the street, so no worries there. The area is very visitor-friendly in general. We were very close to the concert venue ( Allianz Amph) where we saw Neil Young last night.

Great spot in shockshoe slip district.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay. The hotel is beginning to undergo updates/upgrades, which is understandable. I feel like a few extra things would’ve changed this to a 5 star. For example, the room was beginning to show its age with repair needs, etc. However, I loved the comfort of the room and the view was great. Absolutely loved the outside terrace, but it did have a huge window that didn’t have a blind, so not completely private-I would address that. Also, I feel like each room should have a refrigerator and microwave. Other than those few things, it was excellent. Would definitely recommend and stay again.
