Reserved a king size bedroom for myself and my husband. Were given a 2 double bedroom. Was told they were sold out and nothing they could do. Wasn’t the worst ever but annoying and not what we paid for monthsssss ago. That’s why I booked so far in advance

The property was conveniently located near plenty of dining options and the staff were very friendly and professional. They also have a really cool rooftop bar/restaurant. The only con was that the pool is permanently closed.

i love the decor. More dining options would be great. Very warm in hallway on floor, probably noticed the temp more because only 2 of the 3 elevators worked on a very busy weekend. Other than that, love the property.

Family stay

We stayed in the family suite, which was really quite spacious and nice. It was a real hit with our toddler too! For other people considering booking this type of room, it might be helpful to know that the only entrance to the room is through the “family” side (aka the bunk beds). The preference would be that the door is on the “parent” or “adult” side. While it wasn’t an issue for us, it would have been challenging if someone needed to leave the room while she was sleeping and causes some anxiety to have the entrance be on that side should someone enter unexpectedly, but there was a closure that wouldn’t allow someone to come in. The other thing to note is that there is valet service that is separate from the hotel. There is not parking on the property site.

Good value for downtown Richmond

Very comfortable beds, crisp clean sheets & 3 pillows on queens. Bathroom immaculate. Staff friendly & helpful. Valet parking was prompt. Wooden coin at check-out for free coffee. Roof top bar was a plus!

Construction was overbearingly loud in the lobby area. They did give free drink tokens out because of this so that was nice. Other than painfully loud noises checking in and while waiting for my room to be ready, it was a very nice hotel. The rooftop bar was really nice and the bartender working on 8/10/25 around 4:00 pm was really good and very professional.

Poor Checkin Experience

Would not let us checkin until 4pm. Atleast 10 other travelers had to wait in the lobby area before they would let anyone checkin. There was very loud construction going on in the lobby so we could not even talk to each other. At 4 pm, all the rooms magically opened up for checkin but now we had to wait in a very long line. Only 1 working elevator for an 18 story building. Valet is expensive, even for Richmond.

The property was easy to get to on a quiet street, excep valet parking @$40/day was limiting The area parking lots were competitive @ $37. We finally found street parking # ,,$2/hr.
