The hotel was comfortable and quiet, which made for a relaxing stay. However, the sulfur smell in the water was quite strong.

Un bon choix en plein centre ville

Une chambre vue sur la cathédrale au deuxième étage petite mais agréable (pas d'ascenseur). Parking gratuit derrière la cathédrale. Il y a de bonnes boulangeries dans le quartier si on ne veut pas d'un petit-déjeuner complet. Accueil sympathique.

Great staff, but poor bathroom and noise issues

Overall, my stay was fine and the staff at the reception was very helpful. My only issues were the bathroom in my room and the noise. The bathroom had a shower that was terribly placed with only a cloth shower curtain that didn't seem very clean. After you showered, the shower kept dripping all over the bathroom and you would get cold water down your back when you tried to brush your teeth, etc. The bathroom should be better designed with ideally a proper shower put in place that isn't separated from the rest of the bathroom by only a poor and sketchy curtain. Regarding the noise, the rooms and doors aren't very noise-proof, so in the morning I kept getting woken up by endless bangings of doors and other not very pleasant noises.

Nice hotel excellently located near centre of Reykjavic just opposite the Hallgrimskirkja church. Friendly and helpful staff. Clean room. Bathroom snug with great shower. Good breakfast with lots of choice. Was able to find parking space to left of church as you look at it from the hotel.

The location of Leifur Erickson is just perfect. Off the busy shopping street but about a 2 minute walk away. Very quiet and centrally located. We could walk everywhere we chose to go. Staff was helpful and friendly. The lack of a lift was troublesome only when checking in and out.

Excellent Loccation

When I said that I had a walker, they assigned me to the first level in order to make it easier for my whole stay. The hotel's location is fantastic. It is opposite Reykjavik's famous church and within easy walking distance of the restaurant Kol (creative presentation and taste) and the optional Loki.

Lovely Leif Erikson

The hotel was very comfortable, and the staff was very nice. The room was fine, as well. The only drawback was that they had no elevator. Three flights of stairs with bags was no fun! But the location was great!
