We arrived at the hotel early, but we were able to start exploring the city right away since the hotel kindly offered to store our luggage until check-in. We stayed in a deluxe double room, which included a small fridge—perfect for preparing lunches for our day trips. The room was spacious, spotless, and featured both a rainfall and a regular shower head, which was ideal for my tall husband. We also chose the breakfast package, which offered a great variety of hot and cold options. The food was very good and nicely presented. The staff were friendly and accommodating. Since it was our first time using the local buses, they were especially helpful in explaining which one to take from the Planetarium back to the hotel. We would recommend this hotel.

Great location very walkable to local attractions and dining options with transport available if required. Hotel is modern in the lobby and dining area offering payable snacks and drinks with comfortable seating area. The bedroom was a good size for two adults though the decor was very dated. The bathroom had a shower that was completely unusable because the size wouldn't permit an adult body let alone space to wash effectively. Customer service was impeccable with staff accommodating, helpful and very kind.

Just got back from staying here for a week. Our room was great, spacious with a large deck and water view (we booked the deluxe room), the front desk staff was very helpful and friendly and made our stay enjoyable, the breakfast had lots of options (fresh fruit and cereals, bacon and eggs, waffles, croissants, meats and cheeses, yogurt...), and it was conveniently located (short walking distance to Bus Stop 9, Laugavegur, and Harpa). We definitely recommend this hotel and would stay again.

Great location! Excellent breakfast. Staff were warm, friendly and helpful. Hotel facilities are quite basic though ( no fridge, iron) but fulfills your needs to lay your head at night - since most of the day will be spent out touring.

Fosshotel Baron fans

This was our 2nd stay at this hotel. It is very conveniently located, within walking distance of the Old Harbor and the shops and restaurants on Laugavegur. Our room was very comfortable, and had 2 large windows to help adjust the temperature. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. We opted for breakfast, which was delicious and had many options

Excellent stay at Fosshotel Baron! Perfectly located, with excursion buses picking up right outside and many attractions and restaurants within walking distance. The staff was friendly and provided outstanding customer service. We were so grateful that since our room was already available, they kindly let us check in earlier after a long flight, it made such a difference. Highly recommend this hotel for both comfort and convenience!

The reason I am giving this hotel 4 stars is the bathroom. The bathroom is small, the sink is a pedestal sink no room for 2 peoples toiletries and it has a small glass shelf over the sink. Also not enough hooks to hang clothes or towels. The shower is small with curtain so water comes out and floods the floor. The rest of the room is ok. The hotel is clean and provides breakfast. Breakfast selection is average. The people at the front desk are very nice. The hotel is located within walking distance of various bus stops for tour buses. Also walking distance to various restaurants and shopping. Everything was good with the exception of the bathroom.

The staff was friendly and helpful. The room and property could use some updating. Beds were not the most comfortable. Couch was rather old, floor was dirty/not mopped. Toilet was old and American style, hair dryer so old it could only run 20 seconds at a time before overheating and shutting off. Only instant coffee in the room. Would be nice if breakfast was included. Appreciated the 12:00 check out time.

I will not return-out dated, No drawers at all we had to spend 7 days living out our suit cases, no dressers or tables. Realy weird... I will not be going back thats for sure. Oh yes, the breakfast was really good-best part of the stay
