Great value for Reykjavik

It's slightly off the centre of the city but still very walkable to ships and restaurants. It's self check in and out, but we had no problem with that. We were able to store our luggage before our check in time. The shower is very nice and the beds are comfortable. We would stay here again.

Make sure you have access to your email before you get there or press the button to get info on how to check in as the instructions are in the email and if you do not have wifi you will not know how to get in! this is a no staff hotel which is fine except the email comes just before you arrive and i did not have wifi during the time the email came but the button worked and i was able to get in.

Reasonable price for the area and with 10 minute walk of resteraunts, but beware! You can't even get through the front door until 15:00 and there is no parking. So if you get dropped off by a shuttle from the airport late afternoon, you have to hang out with your luggage until 3 pm. At that time, your entry code that is emailed to you will allow you to check in. There is NO reception staff. If you have a car, you have to find street parking 2 to 3 blocks away. Despite what the online video shows, all parking on that street is a tow away zone or a limited 3 hour paid parking at 1000 kr per hour.

This was a terrible experience from the start. Zero parking available on the street. Door code didn’t work. I was hung up on when I called. Several other guests couldn’t get in either. It was pouring rain during this time. My door code didn’t work for my room setting off a siren, another guest couldn’t get into her room. Once I finally got into the room, which should be called a closet. (Don’t believe the pictures). It took me an hour to figure how to turn off the lights, loud street noise, shower doors that didn’t seal. This is an awful experience, the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in.

Over a 5 night stay, our room (flanked by a large and active construction site) was never cleaned. With myself and two children, we were never offered fresh towels, coffee was never replenished, and were never relieved of the mounting food waste accumulating in our room. The on-site restaurant claimed no affiliation with the hotel and refused to even lend me a bowl for my child’s cereal. The only time we interacted with actual hotel staff (since check-in is virtual) was when we heard a knock at our door thirty minutes prior to check-out and an attendant proceeded to enter our room without invitation. I would strongly dissuade other travelers from staying at this property. Iceland is incredibly…this hotel is not.

The place was quite pleasant. Nice and clean. There isn’t a front desk or daily housekeeping, but that was fine for us. They send you a code to get into the building and your room. Very easy. Location is close to a couple grocery stores and there’s a fridge in the room. My only complaint is the parking. It’s not totally clear which spots are free. Even with the video provided. There are some P2 paid parking spots near the Bonus if you don’t want to gamble. P2 is the cheaper option.

Clean, simple, comfortable rooms - perfect if you are on the go traveler and just want a clean quiet place to sleep. About 10 minutes walk to the main activity area of town - straight down the street. Right by a grocery store and a healthy restaurant called Loving Hut. I was hesitant about not having a live front desk but they respond to emails super fast and the codes worked great. I didn't try the attached restaurant. Note: if you have trouble finding on google maps it was called 22 Hill before.
