We had pretty low expectations based on the price, when we arrived we felt like we were walking into a "Grand Old Lady" vibe, you could tell the Hotel was stunning in its day, and it holds on to its ageless charm. Things are worn in areas but beautiful. It reminded me of the castle hotels in Ireland, or the Hotel Selkirk at Fort Edmonton Park before they ruined it by renovating. The pool was super cold for Adults but the kids did not mind! I love that it is salt water so my sons sensitive skin did not flare up! We are coming back this weekend for another little one night getaway to enjoy the walk out rooms to the pool. Breakfast was the only low point for us, the sausages were patties, and the other warm options were scrambled eggs and pancakes. The other options are toast, cereal, and yogurt, so not ideal for people who have Celiac disease and are allergic to dairy.

I would never recommend this hotel, especially for families. The rooms I was given were dirty, stained carpets, poorly maintained bathrooms, and not at all as advertised online. One room even opened onto the pool area where intoxicated guests were behaving inappropriately and falling into the pool. It did not feel safe nor sanitary. At one point, I returned to my vehicle in the hotel parking lot to find a disturbing handwritten note left on my car. This left me and my children feeling extremely unsafe. While the front desk employee was kind and went above and beyond to make me feel safe (he deserves recognition), the property itself was unacceptable. I left the hotel within just a few hours of arriving, booked alternative accommodations at my own expense, and requested a refund. Shockingly, the manager refused to refund me, despite the unsafe and unsanitary conditions. I was told the Manager of the hotel would contact me back within 24 hours, 6 days later I still have not heard back from him, but he did let Expedia know that he was not "approving my refund". Expedia only offered me $66 in "points" for a stay that cost me over $400. The hotel told Expedia that they offered me a room in their "newly renovated area", which was untrue, the carpet in the second room was just as filthy as the first room! Disappointed by both!! If you are looking for a clean, safe place to stay, and management that stands behind their guests’ safety, I strongly urge you to book elsewhere.

No handicap parking. They do not advertise under renovation no handicap parking. They should have made another area handicap parking as I am sure by law they have to. Parking lot full of pot holes, they say they are working on it has been like that for years. Pool area rugs are filthy hallways dirty. No handicap bars around the toilet. Do not stay here especially if you’re handicapped

It opened a few hours later but it would have been nice to be told. The second downfall was the breakfast, it really wasn’t very good, there was no variety but I guess it was free…

The shower was gross. A lot of build up and hair as well the floors were not swept and there was a roach. We had to check out at 10pm on August 23. I’m appalled on the state of this room. How ever the person at the counter was very sweet and understanding and is helping us through the hotel side. We hope to resolve this as soon as possible. We drove 2 hours to enjoy our weekend and now we had to leave in the middle of the night. Thank you.
