The facility needs a lot of maintenance. Elevator has guide wheels screaming and rubbing and it makes a terrible noise. The air handler above room 324 was shacking its self apart and vibrating the walls. Supplies were short and pool was closed.

Expedia advertised the room I picked as a room that sleeps 5. When we got to the hotel, just before they handed the key I asked if the room fit 5. They said the room only had two queens. They said if I wanted to fix this mistake I would have to call Expedia and fix it. I’m ok with that but the way they dealt with us was so inexplicably rude and unhelpful that it is hard to explain. Not only does the first employee I worked with, a female whose name I do not know but whose attitude has left a bitter taste in my mouth, does not belong in a hospitality career, but the second guy I talked to after I fixed the issue through Expedia belong in this kind of job either. They were both extremely rude about the whole thing. It’s almost like if you book through Expedia you are automatically marked and treated with disdain. The room they gave us had an a/c unit that worked but rattled all night very loud. My only regret is not getting the employee names to make a formal complaint.

Power outage

Unfortunately, there was a countywide blackout that night, so there was no air conditioning, no hot water, no electricity, no breakfast, no coffee, etc. we got there at 11 o’clock at night. Left at 9 o’clock in the morning power was out all night and didn’t get restored from what I understand until 1030 the next morning I would like to request a refund.

We stayed when there was a big blackout in Rawlins. We were able to show our reservation on the phone and were led to a room. It wasn't as big of a room as we had reserved, but the staff was doing their best in the dark with no electricity.

Nice close to freeway.

This is a nice hotel close to the freeway. That is its good and bad. You can hear the sound of the freeway but not to bad. It is clean and the room was large. The staff could have been a little more friendly. It was like they were just tired but maybe everyone in Rawlins is that was. We drove through the town and it is a bit depressing how many businesses are closed.
