This resort was not equipped to handle a lot of families booked at one time - the restaurants need to be reserved ahead of time but would get totally booked (for 2 days in advance) in like 3 minutes. Our guy who greeted us was terrible - walked way ahead of us, was stuck texting on his phone and didn’t tell us anything about the property or how to get our luggage (which ended up sitting outside for 6 hours). We (group of 9) were walking around aimlessly trying to find our rooms for a good 2 hours with 3 kids under the age of 2. Eventually we had to travel around and find our luggage and the guy coincidentally walked around the corner as we started grabbing our bags to take them ourselves and was confused on why we haven’t gotten it yet. The buffet that was available was SO packed and didn’t have hardly any food out - they were bad at rotating empty food bins. We ended up eating hamburgers 2x a day waiting in line for 30-45 minutes each person, each time. We tried to order room service to get food but they ended up never showing up 2 out of the 4 times we ordered. Be prepared to wait in line for minimum 45 minutes for any type of food.

This property was amazing. So many activities for the kids. Food options phenomenal and the different night themes were fun! My only recommendation is more midday food options as the lines and wait at the food trucks was long. Yes they had the buffet but not always easy to get kids away from playing to dry off to go eat. Our butlers Milton and Pablo were awesome and handled all our needs and requests efficiently. We will for sure be back

We stayed June7-13th 2025. We stayed in two rooms 16508 and 16509. We had an amazing time. Enrique and Ivan were amazing. They helped with all reservations. They both made sure we were good each day and helped with anything. The kids loved the water park. I was hesitant after reading some reviews but besides the cave, all food was generally good. Water park was great but need more tubes.

Stayed at resort for 5 days in June - group of 7 of all ages, w/ multiple rooms - stayed in a luxury junior suite (non-diamond club). Pros • Multiple large pools, water seemed well maintained • Different water parks for all ages, including lazy river • Fully equipped gym (best we've seen) • Resort & guest rooms appeared well maintained • Family friendly nightly entertainment So/So • Most pools were 4.42 ft deep - too deep for younger kids to touch • Kids club seemed more for 7-8 years old or younger • Food was comparable to other AI resorts • Only purified water available at bars and restaurants, no bottled water - only in rooms • Larger resort with a 1000 rooms = getting around takes longer • Wristbands used as room key = convenient, but the closing/tie mechanism needs improvement •Pool chairs get reserved around 7am when towels are put out Cons • Incredibly slow check-in • Slow service everywhere, seemed understaffed, especially in the restaurants • Reservations needed at every restaurant-can't be booked until you're checked in - especially difficult for large group • Food trucks never opened on time, didn't have menus posted & long line/wait with limited shade • Maintenance requests not fulfilled, after multiple requests • App schedule for restaurants & activities didn't always match up • Hot, slow and small elevators • Stairwells: difficult to find & gross - didn't seem designed for guest use. Overall: We would return to this resort. Had a great time, plenty to do!

I chose to overlook the reviews and proceed with my reservations at this resort, but I regret that decision. Upon arrival, the check-in process was chaotic. We had booked a double bed for three guests, yet we were given a king bed and a futon that was so small my 5'3" son couldn't fit comfortably. We requested an upgrade, only to be informed that the resort was overbooked and no rooms were available. Even though we paid extra for the Diamond Club upgrade, it felt entirely pointless. After our first night, we insisted on a room change, and thankfully, we were finally accommodated. Moreover, the food options were lacking in both variety and quality. Sadly, our meals arrived cold, which added to our disappointment. This experience did not meet our expectations, and I urge potential guests to consider these issues before making their reservations.

Our family of 11 had a wonderful time at the Royalton Splash - our group included elderly grandparents and kids of all ages, including a 1-year-old. It was so easy for all of us to stay together and enjoy all of the amenities and activities. The resort was big and spacious, but very accessible. We had no problem getting around from building to building or walking to the beach. The view of the ocean was beautiful, the facilities were lovely and every staff member was kind, helpful, and professional. We would love to return since this place was so fun and convenient for our whole family.

Highly disappointed after booking the diamond club package. This was a complete waste of my money. The Butler service is a waste of time I had to chase my butler for the basic minimum which they should have approached me with. There was nothing special about my room the fridge was never stocked. The top shelf liquor was only available in one area of the entire property. I am so disappointed in my stay, I would never do this again.

Royalton Splash was an outstanding 5-star experience from start to finish for my wife and two kids (ages 9 and 5). As someone who's not easily pleased, this resort truly exceeded expectations. We visit Cancun annually, and this has been the best resort we've stayed at in the last four years. It was 85% capacity and never felt slammed. Early Arrival & Check-in: We arrived at 11:30 AM, well before the 3 PM check-in. Since we booked through Expedia, we were directed to a semi-VIP lounge (separate from main registration) with cold drinks, fruit, and champagne. Within 15 minutes, we were giving our details in the comfortably AC'd room. We were also assigned a personal concierge who communicated via WhatsApp every day, which was incredibly convenient. Food - Absolutely no complaints here – the dining was exceptional! The buffet was excellent, featuring grilling stations and every imaginable food item. The restaurants were fantastic; we tipped our concierge well to secure immediate reservations, as you can otherwise only book 48 hours in advance. Teppanyaki was as good as home, the Steakhouse food was top-notch, and the Italian restaurant on the beach didn't disappoint. Service was 5-star - Shout out to everyone that made our stay memorable; Luis, Lalo, Nathalie, Claudio, Carmenela, Israel Amenities: Lazy river was highlight of trip, beach had no seaweed (there's a break wall), cabanas and Bali beds were worth the all-day drink and food service. Thank you Royalton Spalsh!!!

Everything was very good except for the steak house nothing close to a steak and everyone’s steak was cooked the same medium well, the Indian restaurant was very good 5 stars for them

It was great. Staff were very friendly. The food options were not the best. Also, timing for restaurants wasn’t great. It was hard to get a reservation.
