When I booked online, my daughter & I booked together & both paid for adjoining rooms, ocean front & swim up pool. When we arrived, there wasn’t any adjoining rooms left. The hotel had guests in all the adjoining rooms. My daughter had an oceanfront with swim up & I was in another area & no oceanfront room. We also reserved a pool cabana for a day & another family had paid for the same cabana for the same day. Double booking is a huge concern & they said there was nothing they could do, due to all the rooms being full. Our butlers Hector & Savana were amazing!! Both of them helped make our trip wonderful.

An Unforgettable Stay – Perfect for Families, Relaxation & Dining I recently had the pleasure of staying at this incredible hotel, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. From start to finish, everything was seamless, thanks to the outstanding service and warm hospitality. A special thank you to Luz Adriana for taking care of all my reservations flawlessly. Her professionalism and attention to detail made my stay stress-free and enjoyable. The spa experience with Rubi and España was pure bliss! Their expertise and calming presence made for the most relaxing and rejuvenating treatments. I left feeling completely refreshed. Dining at the hotel was a highlight. Every meal was a delight, showcasing the rich and authentic flavors, even a buffet has so many fresh options! This hotel is also a perfect destination for families! The water park is fantastic for kids, offering endless fun and entertainment. In the evenings, the shows featuring clowns and gymnasts were an absolute hit, keeping both kids and adults entertained with incredible performances. Overall, this hotel exceeded all my expectations. Whether you’re looking for relaxation, delicious dining, or family-friendly fun, this place has it all. I can’t wait to return—thank you to the entire team for making my stay so special!

ROYALTON SPLASH IS NO BUENO!!!

This was by far the WORST HOTEL RESORT I've ever been to and for the amount of money I was charged, I requested a partial refund and the DIAMOND CLUB MANAGER claims I would need to address with Hotels.com/Expedia. I'm doing EVERY review possible as well as writing you for your assistance. IT WAS HORRIBLE and the staff didn't seem to care.

THE FOOD IS HORRIBLE. The staff agrees.

The staff here are friendly & VERY helpful. I can't complain about the service, cleanliness & beauty of the resort. The reason I am giving a low rating is because the food is HORRIBLE. The "fancy" restaurants that require a reservation make a rubbery steak, flavorless vegetables & mushy risotto. I couldn't even get mashed potatoes as a substitute for their sweet potato mash when potatoes are on the menu. The late night food is horrible (the "nachos" are a joke, onion rings are embarrassing but the philly cheesesteak was acceptable). Even the brunch, while vast, was very poor quality. The omelet bar is the only saving grace. The resort's MEXICAN restaurant had the worst Mexican food I've ever tasted and I live in Southern California where our Mexican food is plentiful. You can't get Mexican food anywhere at this resort! At brunch they have some fresh salsas, mashed avocado & that's it. I saw some hardened churros one morning but I knew better. The food trucks during the day serve poor excuses for burgers. The coffee shop tries their best & the gelato was great. I asked as many staff as I could find what they thought of the food - they all laughed, said they don't eat it & felt sorry for how disappointed we were because they knew. They even told us which restaurants to avoid because they knew how bad they were. If food is important to you when you travel, & you desire excellent Mexican food in Mexico - don't go... or lower expectations! My group see this as a funny memory -now

After reading some recent negative reviews about the Royalton Riviera Splash Cancun, I was hesitant to book with my girlfriend. But to our surprise, the resort was spotless, the staff was super friendly, and our experience exceeded expectations! Don’t let bad reviews scare you. The pools were awesome, and our room was clean and well-kept. The food was solid—the buffet was always good, and some specialty restaurants were definitely worth checking out. Our favorite was Hunter Steakhouse, with Agave and the Cave also being really good. Just keep expectations reasonable! Shout-out to Alberto, who was a server/bartender by the pool. I asked for a beer, but they were out. Instead, he noticed I had a cocktail the day before and brought it to me without me asking—that’s top-notch customer service! Also, thanks to Felipe, who helped plan our excursions. He didn’t just try to sell us things but actually gave great recommendations. We had an awesome time at Islas Mujeres and snorkeling with green turtles! FYI the beach is not crystal-clear water, which we expected, but it was still beautiful and well-maintained, perfect for relaxing. One heads-up: get to the pool early (7-8 AM) to grab a good spot as it fills up fast! Overall, we had a great stay, and every worker we encountered was friendly and helpful!

Much needed vacation

Beautiful resort, friendly staff, very clean. We spent the last 9 days there and we had a blast, the nightly entertainment was fun for both kids and adults. The check in/out process was painful and they did not get any of my requests from hotels.com (2 beds for 4 of us) so we were given a king room, 45mins later we got a room with 2 beds. No communication between the two. The resort is large and unless you are down reserving chairs by the pools at 7am you will have a hard time getting some together. As a family we found it very difficult to get chairs at all let alone ones with umbrellas for shade. We ended up getting a Bali bed by the pool for 4 days so we didn’t have to stress about going down early. Game changer and I highly recommend getting one. On top of them serving you drinks all day they bring you a bucket of water bottles and they serve you lunch as well so you don’t have to wait online for the burger truck or go to the buffet. The beach had chairs available until about 9/9:30am but the ocean was closed for swimming 4 out of the 9 days we were there because of a crocodile that swims around. It was very windy on the beach so because of that there was an abundance of seaweed. They had a tractor cleaning it up in the mornings but it wasn’t daily. There were people out there putting it in piles once a day but other than that it just kept accumulating. Overall, the beach was very disappointing so we spent most of our time at the pool. Waterslides are huge and so fun

After reading a few recent negative reviews about the Royalton Riviera Splash Cancun, I was very hesitant to book with my husband and one year old daughter. To our surprise, the resort was immaculate, the staff were very friendly and accommodating, and our stay exceeding our expectations! DO NOT LET THE BAD REVIEWS DISCOURAGE YOU. The pools were very nice and our room was clean and well maintained. The food was alright - the buffet was always good and some of the specialty restaurants were good, but like any resort, you always get a not-so-good dinner here or there. Jonathan from Expedia Guest Services really went above and beyond to make our stay special and always checked in to see if there was anything we needed. I highly recommend the Royalton Splash Cancun if you are looking for a week getaway with your family!

This resort was beautiful. The grounds, seclusion, hotel and room was beautifully keep. Staff was so friendly. The vibe team always had fun stuff during lunch like custom drinks or guac station. Butlers were a fabulous touch. They made all our reservations and took care of every request. Food was well above average for an all inclusive. We will definitely be back

I came here for a my 40th birthday. We found it through tik toc and chose this one because of the water park. There was soo much to do we didn’t even get to go. I had the best time. Food was great, everyone was soo nice, it was clean. So many activities, drinks, food etc. I wish I stayed longer. The only thing was that throughout our level I saw them hang birthday sashes on the doors but I didn’t get one but they did send me champagne. I had the most amazing time and I didn’t want to leave

Overall, the resort was nice there were a lot of things for kids to do, many evening activities that were kids friendly too. A lot of restaurants and bars. Drinks were watered down. No one got sick, but we were also very careful with what we were eating. Rm 1 room had a very terrible smell like zoo, we went back to the front desk the next day, for a new room. New room provided had a clogged drain and started water flooding out. Rm 2 Despite paying extra to have the Jacuzzi, we were unable to use it for half of our stay. we realized there was bird poop in the Jacuzzi and called asking someone to come clean it after waiting we called again and they reassured us it will be 5 to 10 mins. By the end of the night, no one came therefore we called again and finally someone came and wiped it with a dry towel. At this time it was late and we did not want to have to call someone to properly clean it therefore, we waited till the next day… after multiple unsuccessful attempts we had left it so room service can clean it the next day. only some of us got VIP wristbands and 1/3 rooms got champagne. We were constantly offered free spa, day bed, cabana but when we went to redeem it there was a catch as they're trying use these perks to get people to attend a timeshare meeting. Overall our stay was OK other than the issues pointed above. However, as soon as we got home 6/9 members of our family, got hand foot and mouth disease which was extremely unfortunate.

not a fan of the food quality and options. almost everything at the buffet was mislabeled. Expedia contact at hotel was not helpful at all for making reservations at restaurants. had to take the long walk to lobby to get a hold of someone. barely got into 2 restaurants out of 12 that they had. extremely disappointed at the service we recieved. room service was quick and brought any amenities we needed. other than that, definitely would not return

Truly enjoyed our time at the property. Food, Property, beach, pool was great! Service in the restaurants was inconsistent often to get a cup of coffee took 10 minutes. Would recommend more staffing. Would go back all over again and would recommend it for anyone wanting an all inclusive.

My phone in room was not working and I requested a couple times to fix was not . I was trying to get more coffee etc for my room and was not able . I was spouse to get a diamond armband did not so I was not able to go to the areas I wanted . My room smelled like sewer and mold . Some staff expected a tip , which was uncomfortable.

One of the pool day the lady worker took our sun screen lotions. I told that to the front desk and they said if I open a case it will 72hrs to investigate. Well I’m not here for that long and instead you should have offer us the sun screen. At their Italian restaurant the server kept questioning our order and kept saying it was enough. At ice cream parlor you could only try 2 flavors. I don’t wanna waste if I don’t like anything. And is it really all inclusive? The staff make you feel awkward when you order. Not much happening place for pool days either. Boring shows except Michael Jackson I definitely not returning here.

Great water slides for 8 Great water park for toddlers Variety of food. Halal options but you have to speak to the Manager at the Buffet or the Chef at the Taj Indian Restaurant. Others will not know what you are asking for. Aftet that it takes 2 days for them to import from USA. After that you can have the halal meat sent to the Restauarant you would like to dine at. We tried to arrange Halal through reservations but they didnt know what we were talking about. You could try calling the Resort directly and speak with the restaurant's manager.
