We needed a nice place to stay that would also accommodate our 7 month old 70 lb puppy. The people were so nice. We were able to find outdoors, they even had a pup cup for our pup. The hotel is historic and very nice. Our room was spacious and very comfortable! We will go back!

Ok but could be better

The room was a little small, but ok for one night stay. The airconditioner was very noisy making sleeping a little difficult. The heater in the ensuite had no handle so was on 100% of the time, so the room was very hot and uncomfortable. The entire power in the room is operated by one switch...we couldnt run the a/c by itself (the tv had to be on as well, strange situation)

The door is unlocked to the inn - walked around a photographers equipment . the shower did not work . it smelled like marijuana in the lobby and bathroom. the furniture is tired , the lighting is terrible - i had to reset the GFI in the bathroom to turn the light on . the extension cords make it feel like a fire trap. - no way it is 3 stars . would not stay for free.

Lots of food and music to enjoy here. I unfortunately didn't sleep well because of the hardness of the bed, felt like I was sleeping on a rock. The staff are friendly and the rooms are decently clean, the only dirty area was the ac, as it had built up dust and didn't seem to be well cleaned. Overall its an okay place to stay, as long as you like hard beds.

We're staying again!

We loved this old-fashioned, quaint Inn! All staff we experienced we're friendly and helpful. The room was almost perfect for our needs except the window air conditioner which was very dirty but once I cleaned the filter, it worked better. For us, the on-site restaurant was a huge bonus that we enjoyed very much. The meals and beer we're awesome and reasonably priced. We checked out before breakfast was served but a kitchen staffer heard us leaving and offered us a coffee for road - great service! No surcharge for parking and in a great area to explore. The restaurant atmosphere was comfortable and the decor interesting to check out. They are proud of their Spaulding High!
