Our room was clean, however, due to the AC/HVAC unit not working in our room, not only was it hot (so we couldn’t sleep well) but I believe it caused the bathroom to smell like sewage. Other the room was clean, amazing view from our balcony, outdoor property is beautiful, pool was clean. Indoor pool was too cold especially after a sauna and jacuzzi wasn’t heated. Staff was nice and provided us with a fan for our room, we declined since we had no time to move rooms (due to dinner plans) and we were checking out in the morning.

The property itself was beautiful, isolated from the hustling vessel of Porto, and very inviting. They provided four water taxis per day, which was convenient. They were one way into the city. The room was beautiful, but there was no storage in the bathroom, so you had to put your things away each day or look at them, which looks cluttered. We didn’t have a chance to use the pool, but the area is beautiful, many lounges to lie in the sun The breakfast was amazing each morning. The staff was very friendly and attentive.

Un havre de paix

Un superbe hôtel sur les rives du Douro à 25 min en uber du pont Louis xi Un cadre exceptionnel, un hôtel avec une décoration raffinée, un personnel charmant, chaleureux. Un service de restauration avec un restaurant le soir avec vue sur le Douro, très bon, copieux et pas très cher et un restaurant gastronomique 1ou 2 macarons Michelin au top. Une excellente cuisine a des prix qui restent raisonnables vu la qualité des préparations et du service. Sans hésiter le meilleur hôtel de Porto.

This is one of the best Hotels I stayed at in Europe. Quality of service was superb. Hotel was super clean a true 5 star experience. It’s 15 minutes away from the touristy area ( old town) but they have a water taxi that takes you there. It was like a free cruise experience in porto. The hotel was the highlight of our stay in Porto. Will be back for sure

What an amazing place! The hotel were in contact before arrival to let us know about the event they were putting on which was a nice touch. On arrival we were made to feel welcome by the team, the room, facilities, food are all first class. The service on the bar from Gabriella and Igors was another level, attentive, knowledgable and hard working they both made the visit extra special! The food and service in the restaurant was some of the best we’ve ever had. What a place, what a team! Only problem we have is… all other hotels we visit will be judged against this hotel i is THE standard for first class!

Great experience

The hotel is amazing, it was one of the best experiences in our life, very comfortable and quiet room with fantastic views, perfect service and great staff. The spa is fabulous and possible to go there with kids from 6 years old. Breakfast was tasty, and Vinha restaurant is definitely worth a visit. The hotel also has a nice garden and transfer to the city centre, which was so convenient. We will definitely visit this place again.

A beautiful hotel

This is a beautiful hotel, with charming, attentive staff. The room ( river facing with balcony)was very clean, extremely comfortable beds with a turn down service in the evening. The bathroom was large, great shower and Jo Malone toiletries. Service in the restaurant for breakfast and dinner was excellent, every time. It's about a 40 minute walk into Porto which is pleasant on a sunny day and mainly flat. The hotel provides a free taxi boat service to Porto which is a lovely way to travel into town. The Spa is very nice and although a little expensive ,the treatments were given by very experienced therapists and were worth the cost. My only small criticism is the Europop style music broadcast in the afternoons through the evening to the outside pool /sitting area. We found it a little loud and irritating especially as nobody was sitting outside. We preferred the quiet and natural sound of the birds and river. ,
