The room was spotless, and the hotel facilities were excellent, great breakfast buffet and Restaurant with happy hour in the bar! Air con was very good and the whole hotel was very quiet and peaceful, the staff were very professional and helpful

Well located hotel with friendly staff and reasonable sized rooms. We stayed in a twin room for 2 nights. Only issue we had was with the bathroom, where one could potentially 'lock' yourself in if you covered entrance too much with door. You would have to squeeze your hand into the gap to open it. Luckily this scenario did not happen during our stay! Nice view of the street just outside the hotel Plenty of options for breakfast and the staff were always at hand to help. Location of the hotel was great for us as it was within walking distance of the main sites. Uphill from the hotel was the main shopping area, whilst downhill was the historical centre.

Close to everything in old central town. Close to railway and intercity railway stations. All walkable. Room is smallish but did the trick. Breakfast is great. I’d like a better pillow however and gave clothes .

Room was spacious. Shower was particularly nice. Housekeepers were very loud in the morning right outside our door, which woke us up. This was disappointing as was the response from the staff when we brought it to their attention.

Location of hotel and the helpfulness and friendliness of the staff was excellent. Very welcoming and our room was cleaned every day. The room we had needed a facelift - the walls were very scuffed up with marks and it was in need of a fresh coat of paint. As well, the safe didn’t work when we checked in although the staff were very prompt to fix this. The bathroom did not offer much privacy.

I absolutely loved my stay at the PortoBay. The hotel room was not large, but it was cozy and very comfortable and very clean! My favorite parts were the extremely comfortable bed and the very cool shower. The room was quiet--I didn't hear any neighbors although I know that I had neighbors on one side. Also, right outside the hotel, in easy walking distance was many interesting sites (like the train station and Bolhau market). And many dining options and shopping near by! Also, the staff at this hotel were ALL wonderful! They were so kind and welcoming. And the hotel restaurant was delicious. Make sure to get the rate with breakfast included because the breakfast spread was also a great variety!
